november in negril
hi folks ....
me and my friend are over to the riu club negril next november 2014 and want to know whether there will be lots of nightlife?
will it be busy?
are there any clubs nearby?
we were in mobay last year and loved it... it was a nice chilled holiday by day and a a lively one at night... is negril pretty much the same?
thanks for your help in advance

Re: november in negril
We just got back from a weeks worth of partying in Negril. We've never been to RIU but I would guess they have lots of things to do at night on site. (bars, disco, etc.) There is plenty to do at night off site as well. We aren't exactly the "late night party" experts but others on here have posted plenty of stuff about Roots, Alfred's, Margaritaville, the Jungle, Scrub-a-Dub, the Rooftop, etc.
I can't say how busy these places will be in November but I'm sure you will be able to find something to do.
Have Fun!

Don't bring your parachute pants......it's hurricane season in November. Hope the weather is good for you.

Re: november in negril
I stayed at riu club. Nice hotel. But AI isn't the way to go if you're looking to party. I'd consider staying on the main beach. Non AI. Plenty of parties going on. Riu is a bit out of the way.
Wouldn't worry too much about hurricanes. Yes. Jamaica is in in the Carib. But they're relatively uncommon in November for the island.

Don't worry about hurricanes they are more prevalent in August and September. If Riu doesn't do it for you check out this sites entertainment and things to to sections.

Re: november in negril
Stayed at Riu last year and are going back again in a few days.
Personally, as an "ex party animal" I wouldn't say that the nightlife at Riu is great. Yes, there's one 'nightclub' that is open until 2am, bars tend to close at midnight (I think it was) and reopen at 10am.
The entertainment team come round once or twice a week and offer a free shuttle to margaritaville ($20)pp.
From what I've learnt, for the livelier souls, it's better to stay on 7 mile beach (Riu Club is at the far end of bloody bay) there is nothing after the Riu Club apart from 5 or 6 new build stunning houses (were almost finished last year).
It depends how much you like to party. Personally, I'm "all grown up" now and am returning to the Riu to get married to my calming better half lol.
Anyway, I have waffled on enough. Have a great time. Bottom line, no matter where you are you will have fun. It depends on the individual!
Have fun x
