Jumped the cliff at Ricks..............
Well back from 2 weeks in Negril and again had the time of our lives. Only thing I brought home with me was may bruised ass and leg from jumping at Ricks. Had a perfect jump and landing (safety dive as taught in University), didn't feel a thing. But two days later the effects showed, from that height and even with a perfect entry you will get some bruising from the impact, one guy fell right on his ass and Im sure he wont be sitting on his purple butt for a little while, Any other stories of a bruising leap of faith from Ricks

I went to Rick's with a large group of people this past August. One 55+ year old guy finally got the nerve to jump... As soon as he jumped, I could tell he was in big trouble. The entire crowd leaned over the walls and gasped as he hit the water. He landed directly on his butt and also leaning backwards a bit.
Well, next morning he was totally bruised and could hardly move his neck. He was hurting for days.

I've seen someone so bruised up she should of been hospitalized. Get a clue not worth it. Too much of a risk.
Re: Jumped the cliff at Ricks..............
I've done a lot of cliff jumping in my younger days. Now that I'm older and hopefully a little wiser, I've convinced myself that the thrill isn't worth the risk of getting hurt. I'm perfectly content with just watching others take the leap instead. :)

Bruises still showing up no pain but still blue bum tattoo. Was a thing I always wanted to do, I was sober and did not rush the jump, think about your jump, then the entry, even before you jump, be of the right mind and think first. Don't let your friends jump if you think they will get hurt. I asked my wife and friends and they gave me the ok, but made sure I was ok to jump. lacdeloo

Never jumped at Ric's and never will. I did enjoy the Xtabi cliff though. It's high enough to get your adrenaline pumping but much more forgiving than Ric's. Still you must use caution, start at the smaller platforms and work your way up. I was feet first only. My wife did a bit of a bum flop and although it smarted, she was not bruised or injured. Ric's?.....NO THANKS.

Did Ricks about 15 years ago, I was all good except the ball of my left foot. Hurt like hell, had to let sand gravity take control for the next 6 days and stay off that foot! Lacdeloo good point, friends don't let friends jump drunk.

I used to jump at Rick's at least once a trip. The last time (about 4 years ago) I felt myself twist when entering the water. I wasn't hurt but was concerned about what could have been. Haven't been back since. Pirate's Cave used to have a spot with the perfect height, never had a problem there after getting up the nerve for the first time. Still need to jump just won't do it at Rick's anymore.
