Jeff I hope you enjoy as much as the rest of us did on on first trip. Did you decide to stay in Negril or outside of Negril at Sunset Yoga retreat?
We are doing Negril proper. We decided for our first trip better to stick to the more known area. Plan to stay at Negril Tree House.
Great choice for your first of many reaches. You will have a lot of fun there. Be sure to walk the beach in both directions, many fun adventures to be found. And at least once if not more, take a cab to the west end, check out the many bars and restaurants on the cliffs!
Cool. Thanks. Definitely want to visit Rick's and check out the diving. Want to Stand up paddle we are pretty avid paddlers. Also would like to do some diving of some sorts.
Right next door to Tree house is Country Country, great small hotel, nice little bar and great breakfast. Have a wonderful time

and NEVER EXCHANGE CURRENCY ON THE STREET
You will enjoy your stay at the Tree House.
To tour the West End go on the pub crawl A must do .
As we say "Once you go, you'll know". You will be ready to book your second trip right away - I know, I did - LOL

You'll no doubt partake in Treehouse's included breakfast, but try Country Country for dinner. Very good. Country Country was my 1st and 2nd stay and remains very special to me. :) Enjoy your first of many trips!Quote:

For an inexpensive local dinner, hit the road, turn left and a couple of properties down is Juicy J. Dinners start at 600J and they have a great bar that stays up late!
You guys are great. We have been to a handful of islands: Bahamas, St.Croix, St.Thomas, San Juan, Aruba, Curacao and a ton of time in the Florida Keys. Can't wait to experience Jamaica to see if it is what we have been looking for!
We may need a new option for a room. Hotel website shows available but on site they don't show rooms available. They are supposed to call back in a bit. If they have nothing will need some suggestions ASAP on rooms and airport/hotel connection. Thanks!
Check Seasplash it is next door to Tree House nice property check them out on tripadvisor. You can arrange to be picked up from drivers here on the board.

Really don't understand but apparently what the website shows as available does not really mean it's available just that they have those rooms. Looks like we will have to cancel the Living Social. Lesson learned don't trust the interwebs.
Hi Jeff... Hope everything works out at Tree House. If not, you may want to try White Sands-- Their rates are around $75 per night on Hotels.com- I believe their website is the same. Good location and lots of good reviews... I was actually intending on staying there until I snagged the Treehouse deal on Living Social... Maybe email Tree house again to see if they can confirm the dates.... Fingers crossed for ya!

You might want to give negrilonestop.com a call. Since you don't have much time to book something they may be able to set you up. They have a toll free number and are very accommodating. Good luck and have a great trip!
At present we are looking at the Westender Inn as our best option. Far out but that may be it.
Far out indeed, but it's a nice spot. Route taxi's are few and far between that deep into the west end, fyi. We found ourselves waiting for rides quite a bit out there, but again, it is a nice spot. Pretty good staff.Quote:

We are a go. Arrive Montego Bay tomorrow around 2:15 pm. Somehow my gf called and got a room at the Tree House.

Have had/am having an incredible time. Spent the morning out at Second Reef. Beautiful. Had a beautiful paddle board session yesterday. Good times.
What and where is "second reef"?
No answer to that question. Jimili took us out from the Tree House and said this is second reef.

Love it. Great location. Breakfast is great. Not really a lie on the beach guy. Paddleboarded one morning, went out in a boat/dive today. Super chill vibe.
