We’re back from Negril - We had the time of our lives!
We knew going into this trip that it was going to be a very special one.
We were going to celebrate a milestone in our lives (our Ten year wedding anniversary), we were going to meet my family in Mandeville for the first time and on top of that we were going to connect with a whole crew of amazing boardies.
We were also going to experience the longest vacation ever – 12 whole days in Jamaica!
I was excited and admittedly….a little nervous.
I’m actually really shy (Unlike my extremely outgoing husband) and it takes a while for me to open up/feel comfortable.
It turns out, I had nothing to worry about. I met some of the most incredible, funny, intelligent, caring and compassionate people in the past 12 days. We made so many new friends, I connected with my family, we experienced 6 different hotels... We traveled around Jamaica, from Mobay to Mandeville to Belmont and back to Negril. This trip was life changing!

Marley, Ninja, Giurigay, Sweetiepie, Booger, Sandy, Tizzy, Sweetness, Spottycatz, Beachgirl, Patty, Brasi, Indybob, Muzikdoc, BellaBea, Katho, Rob, Lisa – I love you guys! Drummerboy13, Becca_jean, +1, Wyogi, , Efka, Coco, Lorax2, Jim & Donna, Tawnee, RastaStan, Luvsdaisland, Gerryg123, SuzieQ and so many others…too many to even attempt to list here… it was just amazing to meet you all!!Wow! What a time!
This trip was a dream come true for us and I feel so blessed that we were able to experience all that we did. It was the best vacation we’ve had in our entire lives!! Everytime I think about the trip we had, this huge smile washes over my face. This trip was what we needed, we feel refreshed and renewed… just so incredibly happy and grateful…I wish I had a better way of describing this feeling in words
We’re going to try to put it all down in a trip report but you already know we are slow as snails. So Please be patient with us…lol – we need a few days adjust to ‘the real world’ again.

It will probably be a few years before we can return to Negril
But The fun memories from this vacation are ones that I’ll treasure for the rest of my life….

Nice pictures, I can imagine you probably have many more...can't wait to see them. It was nice to meet you and Markus and "put a face to the name" so to speak...maybe we will cross paths again some day.

OMG I look like a oompa loompa in that one pic. Guys these have me literally LMAO and fighting tears at the same time....so glad ya'll caught so much good stuff that I missed on camera. Markus (AKA Blue Steele) kills me, constant laughter. Little Red Riding Hood, you and Raul's pics are amazing I'm so thankful we can all share these....so many moments we caught!!! Tip of the iceberg. So much to cover, so much to see. We'll be putting some stuff up soon. Sweetie Pie has video of the whole first round of the flop, tons of pictures and I'm just going to tell you, her ability to capture a person in portrait is astounding. We miss you all in the best possible way, this will be so much fun to play out over the next few weeks, or months for you and Markus, Daisy.

Copper350 – I was really looking forward to meeting you too and I wish you could have been there last week as you originally planned. I’ll do my best to describe everything that happened so you won’t feel like you missed a thing.
Have an amazing time in Negril next week! I know you will! Enjoy every minute in paradise!
And remember; This wont be the last gathering of boardies. That’s for sure. It sounds like everyone is going back to Negril in December and I’m sure that week will be even more epic than this last one.

Marley – Markus saw that pic of you two and said the same thing “No No NO…that’s not “Cinderella”, That’s “little red riding hood” LOL! My bad!! You both had me laughing so hard, especially when you debuted your LOOKS at the canoe webcast.
Guirigay – I know! I have about 4,000 more pics. It took me hours to just go through them last night. I’m looking forward to seeing Sweetie Pie’s video of the first round of the flop since we came into the competition late. I loved how patty had the beautiful sashes with our names on it! That was amazing!
Becca – Lorax2 – it was so great meeting you too!
Brasi – I agree, it was the experience of a lifetime!:cool:
I really miss you all so much – It’s hard going from walking around barefoot in bikini’s and sundresses…lounging in the sun and drinking rum… laughing until my sides ached everyday…. To now sitting behind a computer screen in business attire and high heeled shoes gazing at 2 weeks worth of work in my inbox. It’s 48 degress outside with a blanket of thick fog overhead…

I hope someone documents that upcoming December boardie gathering and shares it. I’ll be relying on all of your pics and stories to get me through the cold winter months….and the next few YEARS.
