The new format seems pretty user friendly.
Just have to take some time to look it over...and I am liking it!:)

Cool, I see your stuff just not sure how to navigate around yet. I don't want to miss the cast tonight.
Huahine,
This new board is in a test phase - the webcast announcements as well as all other posts should be made on the other board. When this Board is officially launched, we will mention it on the other board. There are already posts referring to this new board there.
ok, testing as well! congrats on new board if i do this right!
Good Morning,
Just testing and think I'm figuring it out as well. Beautiful picture Sprat!! So do I understand it correctly that THIS is the new negril.com site and the other (old one) is still operational.
Thanks for any info.
Peace,
Islander
Seems simple enough, well done Rob!
I am sure it's going to take time, to actually utilize all of the features to their fullest. Lots of options...that's for sure.
Congrats Rob...think this will be well received. :)Attachment 50
How do you make the pictures bigger? I've attached them but no option to make them larger.
I love BBCode. I can write one trip report for a bunch of different boards without reformatting now :)
I am not tchie but I made it here!
I'm a junior member....lol
Not really going in July i don't think but wanted to test a countdown:

OK - so how do you set a countdown?
Looks great!
I think I am in
I made that one at tickerfactory.com.
This board looks great!! It is a big improvement over the last board!!
I tried adding a ticker from tickerfactory.com but it says BB code img not allowed....
Testing - VERY NICE
Well i made it... everything new is confusing, but i'll get the hang of things.
*thumbs up Rob*, so far so good!

ok i give up. upload of profile pic keeps failing even though I resized down to LESS than 100 X 100 pixels. i'll come back and revisit this another time....
eta: ok got it.... it was the avatar i wanted, not the profile pic..... :o
Thanks for the new screen saver Liz.
Hey Sprat! Beautiful picture!
Thanks for the ticker factory link, Ohliz
This is definitely a fancy new BB... I like it but it will take a while to get used to.
How did you guys post those pictures? do I have to upload all my pics into a photobucket account first and then post the address? :(
i tried two pics, only the 2nd one worked - i think the first one did not work because i was copying the URL from my FB pictures, and since i changed over to the "secure" FB page, it wouldn't allow it....
There is no need to upload photos to another site first - you can do it, but you can also upload them directly. Here is what is in the FAQ section above:
How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.
How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing [img] before the URL and [/img] after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?)
why can you not see the video without clinking on it!
Holy cow, I just read Rob's description on how to add a photo from your computer. Good lord!!!!! I'm going to have to read through that about 20 times before I can figure it out. Talk about confusing. Sorry Rob, I know this software is going to be different than the old but geez... it was so simple before! I guess I have to go back to rocket science school.
If the image is already online somewhere, just click the picture button, paste the address of the image, click OK and that's that.
Uploading is a little trickier but personally I find it super easy to use Google's Picasa to organize my pics on my computer, then upload them all at once to Picasa online. Then link here whichever ones I want to link.
Wow Clarity, that photo is so inviting....
Bren,
The software is different, but it also works differently. You could never control the photos you uploaded on the old board once uploaded. Now you can set up an album and have photos always available. This feature also works with other files, including PDFs. It is truly not that difficult - but it is different.
Rastagal - Thanks! I wish I was there now... I like you're new profile pic! :)
Brenjalee - I agree that it does feel more complicated as far as posting pics are concerned. I'm just going to upload my pics to my photobucket acct and use the picture link feature. It's easier for me that way..
Bellabea - I loved that video of the dance with the security guard! So great!:D
