Re: Crusher's Trip Report - Jan 2014
So obviously with wind and the rain the beach was kind of a bust yesterday. We spent some time in DK's condo which is gorgeous. Big props to the owner of that room as they have it set up beautifully and everything is top notch. We chilled out most of the day but decided it was time to go visit with Rob and Lisa.
We headed up to the Canoe Bar to check out the show and have a snack and some Red Stripes. We hung out with Rob, Lisa and Tammy during the webcast and had a really good time. I enjoy their good vibes and quick smiles. We came back to the room after the cast was over and just chilled out. We haven't done too much this week but the stay has been very relaxing.

Hit up the aloe guy, should be $100 a stalk or less. Before you to to bed, put on the aloe and let it dry completely. Make sure you don't let it touch anything white or it will stain purple. In the morning you will be golden brown.

Well the weather has been kind of windy and rainy so we spent most of yesterday chilling on the deck in preparation to go on the Pub Crawl with Lenbert.
We were joined by DK and her man Kevin. We had a tonne of fun. The lineup was quite different from the last time we went so that was cool to experience new places.

Crusher You look like the Bouncer of NO Limit in that photo! Where is Sky Bar"?
Re: Crusher's Trip Report - Jan 2014
So we started the crawl out being picked up by Lenbert right on time as always. The bus was PACKED!! We began our journey up the hill and our first stop was a country house up one of the first roads as you head into the WestEnd. We didn't catch the ladies name but she had tonnes of cold beer and rum punch. It was a cool experience and she had a beautiful little house and a nice yard. I am guessing she is some relation of Lenbert's but it was fun. Try the Fish Cakes and Scotch Bonnet Sauce it was fantastic.
Our next stop was Sunset After Dark. We have been there dozens of times and know Patrick quite well. DK goes there more than most and he was very happy to see us. The ocean was rough with waves crashing up on the side of the deck. I got soaked taking a couple of pictures but it was awesome. Cool side note I sat down next to this girl at the bar and something told me I knew here she was so familiar. Well when Brenda got settled she struck up a conversation with her and as Brenda often does she was getting her life story from her. Well it turns out she dated my older brother back when I was in high school. She now lives in Turks and is a dive instructor. One of her siblings was getting married in Negril so she was there for that. She too knows Patrick as they were friends back in Edmonton. Small world people....small world.
We then moved on to the Sky Bar. It was cool and they have the most awesome upper deck with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Would be a cool place to see the sunset one night.
We then went to No Limit Bar and it was your typical road side pub. There were folks playing dominos and the drinks were good. Everyone seemed to be charging 300J so it was irie.
Next stop was Xtabi and it was my first time there in all my trips to Negril. What a nice looking property and the staff all seemed really well trained and motivated. The drink prices were like double the other places but I guess that happens when you have such a fancy place. We took some pics and then carried on.
We were supposed to go to the Negril Escape next but we had a bus vote and just went on the SeaStar for Happy Hour. I ran into Big_Frank there and we had a few quick drinks. We all piled on the bus and headed back down to the beach. Lenbert dropped us off at Bar B Bar for supper. We ate and went home to bed happy and content.
Today my friends from Illinois arrive and we are booked for the SeaStar again tonight. Should be a fun time! :)
Off to the ocean its rough but I am being chewed up by flies and mosquito bites. Some salt water should work on them a bit! :)
