It looks like the storm has decided to come visit us here on the east coast next weekend.
Most areas of Bluefields Bay and Treasure Island are still without current.
Good to hear that places not hit so hard are recovering.
My beloved Port Antonio got slammed. They are still without current and water. Stores are just about out of food and water. Many roads are still unpassable and of course schools are closed. However, residents are helping each other fix damages to homes, get food & water, and clear roads. I imagine they will get help from neighboring parishes and the government. In the meantime they could use our prayers.
Well the visitor is about to arrive here in the mid Atlantic. I hope everyone makes it through. The flooding could be bad along the Susquehanna river, the Delaware schuylkill river brandywine etc. please be safe and don't drive through the flooded areas. I know it sounds stupid, but people do it every time.
Seems like we may lose current longer than our friends in Negril even.
Hope the party supplies are in order!
Hang on man.... We're praying for you
A lot of our family and friends live between The Virginia Capes and Long Island ...
Flip - last week worrying about Jamaica, didn't think we would be looking at Sandy ourselves! We are by AC, and I don't think I've been this worried ever! They are telling us be prepared for 7 days of no power and alot of areas are already flooded and it didn't even hit yet! Hoping everyone on the east coast stay safe during this one.
We have a family property in Fenwick. Bottom bedroom already has a little water. Thank god for insurance.
