Oh, Donna!!!!!!! lol
I use Jim's method; just plan how I'm going to get there! Cute shoes!
Oh my goodness Donna.....you are making me have foot envy!! LOL I use to rock some heels in my younger days and even dance in them....now...my feet protest for freedom! I am either barefoot (remember, I'm from West Virginia) or in sandals....at home...in the winter, UGGs are my bestest friend!!
I will be looking for you "rocking" those heels in Negril! Don't forget to shake the sand out pon da dance floor! LOL Enjoy!! Hope to see you guys while there.:)
I'm afraid Linda will be rocking her Shoes for Crews or Crocs for walking around Negril, and I'll be wearing some un-stylin runners and carrying my walking stick.
I ALWAYS have a number of ideas or 'plans' for things I want to do; but they seldom ever happen.
For instance. I really want to have food at the following places: Ras Roddy's, Chicken Lavish, Hammonds Bakery, sunset at Sir D's or Negril Escape (good food), and a few more, but It's not written in stone because you have to factor in Cliffs gravity and drinks, subs, etc.
I'd like to take a country-side ride to St. Elizabeth and visit that beautiful farm that Taxi Man Tony Smith knows about. But only time 'and budget' will tell.
ummmmmmmmmmmmm
i'm SO-glad you said that...
usually,
for me FIRST-thing is a nice pattie from some-some-place, 2-3 CravenA's & a nice warm Henniken.but this trip,
i'm gonna have my driver make a pit-stop at KFC
get 2 buckets of fried chicken
one bucket for my Lucea-host/landlord
andnext-bucket for my Lucea-mentor (and the office staff)
..will drop off that-bucket, prior to going up into the country-side
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm....
just might make that 3-buckets ---- one for me
'cause that Ja-KFC DO taste really goooooooood
:-(
Made plans the 2nd year we went to Negril... Mayfield, Appleton and Skully's grandma's house up in the hills. Best line... "This would be fun if I didn't think we're gonna die". Had a blast! Since then the only plan is for which books to bring down with us and which will be the "new" place that we eat (always try to get in one new place per year but it's getting tough). I guess our only plan on the Island is take a Sunday walk from the Rockhouse all the way to the "Leaving Negril" sign and then back to Canoe for breakfast. From there we taxi it the rest of the way back to RH.
What a great question, Thanks for asking Jim-Donna!
I always plan extensively, not just for JA but any trip (even Yellowstone).
A lot of the plans gets scrapped (sand gravity - what have you), but all the hours I've put into planning are like a bunch of mini-mental vacations.
On our last reach we ended up pretty well on hitting the restaurents we wanted to check out, bars were more hit and miss.
I don't recall how many country side-trips we planned, but the only time we shed the beach and limestone (west end) gravity was for Rocklands Bird Sanctuary (very worthwhile).
For this next trip I'm planning on hitting some of the Red Grounds gin mills that Kahuna has been featuring in his trip report.
Regarding the come-bleep-me shoes, Mrs. Peel (my fiancee) always says she's: "going to continue to wear high heels until her feet are too crippled."
I say, rock on.
Smith, how is the JA KFC different that in the states? Never had it there. Always eat the vender/restaurants jerk.
Hi, Donna.
Mi Lady and I usually don't plan much of anything. Sand gravity sets in most days and we just hang on the beach at various venues. The Canoe for New Years is about as organized as I am going to get this reach. We've talked about the Pelican Bar and that is as far as we got.
Jim has the right idea!
