Anyone else think the TSA might have some questions if you bring through a dozen straws filled with an unknown liquid?
We usually put all the liquids in our checked bag. If the original bottle is too big, buy a travel size or get a small empty bottle and fill it. I like the idea of the Cling Wrap over the top of the bottle.
I usually buy clear travel size containers and fill them. They are like 3 for $1. Dollar tree has them as well.
Yes they might do  I can't see myself doing it, especially not for a long trip but pretty smart none the less. I will start saving small travel size containers and stock up on refillables at the dollar store. I always bring too many toiletries, much less packed this trip
I use reusable travel containers too but never thought of Press N Seal - brilliant!
Thanks guys! I don't know where I came across that...wish I could claim that I was smart enough to come up with it myself! I like the press and seal better than the cling wrap because it seals and the cling doesn't. I used to tape, but sometimes it left a sticky residue all over the bottle cap. Add sand and I had a mess.
Best travel bottles I ever used were the Sutter Home wine bottles for single serving. Strong and light. And the drinking wasn't bad also.
Part of the fun is buying local sundry products. I usually mix and match -- bring some stuff, plus sample some of the stuff in the stores.
Also, I am a big fan of sunscreen spray, the sport style. I am very diligent with that stuff. Also lots of chapsticks, like twenty of 'em.
