Well, it does now!
Not saying it happened here in this instance but sometimes out on the island, buildings get burned because it is cheaper and easier to clean the property after an old structure is destroyed than going through the expense of tearing them down.
It did appear that tearing down the old structure was the next step.
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
I thought that might b the reason n makes sense to do it that way
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
Um, would that be considered...arson. Just curious.
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
A guest of CC was staying on the top floor just behind restaurant. They were able to get out but there clothes etc smell of smoke. They were lucky.
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
How will this impact current and future guests? People love that restaurant and rooms include breakfast. Glad no one was hurt!

The new one is at the back of their beach area, so it does have a water view but certainly not as close.
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
So sad! :( That was my happy place!
They planned to still use that building, perhaps as a beach snack/bar. There was no reason to remove it, unless they wanted totally unobstructed views for the seafront cottages on that side. The view at the moment is not looking good, and won't for a bit. I would hope it wasn't a planned burn, particularly with guests staying so close to it.
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
And as usual the speculation and rumors begin
Re: Country Country.....Fire?
