Russ in MN, if you haven't been to Little Ochie at Alligator Pond, it is a MUST! You can google Little Ochie and you'll find directions. Atmosphere is great and the food is beyond compare. Try the grilled lobster - you won't be sorry, and you may even make it a must-visit every time you return.
Have you tried a fishing trip to catch your dinner? My husband is a licensed commercial fisherman there, and may be interested in taking you out for a catch and then arranging for your catch to be cooked over open fire on the fishing beach down by the craft market. If you're so lucky to get him to agree to cook, he is a GREAT chef!
I too am a Minnesotan - about 2 hours south-east of the Twin Cities.

Little Ochie is about a 2.5-3 hour drive from Negril

Russ - I haven't been myself yet, but here's an idea of something new to try in Negril - and sounds definitely unique.
How about tossing back a few at the bar at the Negril Police Station! :p
