Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
Thanks shooter1! Sounds good. Do both the Palms & Tanyon's have action on the tables afternoons or early evenings? I'm usually up at the crack of dawn, so any late action would probably be pretty tough for me. Can't bring my own cue cause I'm doing carry on when I fly.
How's Tanyon's house cues? Thanks again for the advice!

the cues at Tayons are not too bad.If you go during daytime you'll be playing by yourself. It's all later evening action

Boogzy, Looking forward to checking out Tayon's. (Thanks for correct spelling) Sounds like a great spot. I'll be sure to wait till later in the evening before going. Would enjoy playing some locals.
Sounds like a great night out. Thanks!
Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
The Seaview or the "Corner bar" as it's called is a good spot for some evening/night 8 ball. It's to the left at the round-about, pass scotia bank and the chinaman store. The next place on your left across from the water is the spot, good drinks-food-fun! I wouldn't gamble for more than a drink (my opinion). If you happened to win a sum of $$$ , (good luck/all some of these guy's do is play pool), many eyes would see the loot go into your pocket. Off subject the Chinaman store across from scotia bank is the best place to exchange US$ for JM$, he gives the highest exchange with no ID hassle or wait, he's on your left as you enter the front door, in/on his pedestal or throne, pretty cool old school chinese store in jamaica. Have a great time, also Seastar Resort has a good table, they have poker night too, also great drinks/food, they will even pick you guy's up/take you home if you spend a few hours partying with them, super place.
Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
Kim&betty, Seastar will be on the list for sure. Will check them out on a Sat. night. can't miss the buffet/show! Thanks for the info. A friendly drink is all I can afford to play for, lol. Just looking for friendly game of pool. Corner bar sounds like its close to Tayon's so will check them out too. Thanks! Also want to go somewhere with good vibes. All places mentioned sound great!
Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
Another close walk is a place on the road about a 10 minute walk toward town... I am blanking on the name but it is on the morass side of the road, and I think it is next to Sunrise Club. I think there is also a pool table now at the Juicy J's restaurant (formerly pilots cafe) which is about a 10 minute walk from Nirvana walking away from town... good spot to get lunch and shoot.
Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
Thanks Sam I Am! Everyone on here has been very helpful. Can't wait to check all these places out. I will attempt my first ever trip report while in Negril.
Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
There is a place on the road, beach side just past Treehouse towards Couple,s can't remember the name ,sports bar with a pool table.
Re: Any place to shoot some pool on the beach?
Thanks poolguywindsor! I'll be in Negril for 10 days so I am glad to have several choices. Can you suggest any place in particular that you like? I'm assuming you have some experience shooting pool in negril with your username. Wont be able to bring my own stick because of carry on, so looking for places with decent house cues and decent top. I know most places probably dont have any action till later at night, but can you think of any places where there might be something going on earlier in the afternoon / evening? Certainly don't want to play alone. Thanks again.
