Re: Pelican Bar
I watched the guys cook as they talked quietly to each other. Every cut they made or scrape they rinsed their utensils in the sea. They seemed to be, like most Jamaican cooks I have observed, careful , clean and methodical. My lobster and rice was very very good.

Re: Pelican Bar
I was very very sad that day, I had just buried my mother so while my friends were all having fun and laughing I was sort of hanging on the perimeter trying to make sense of it all and watching the guys prepare the meal, so I remember it well.

Re: Pelican Bar
Any one care to share estimates of what you paid from Negril to Pelican and back for transportation? And I have a group of 13 going.

Re: Pelican Bar
Also her other question is time wise about how long is the ride for Negril to Pelican. It has been 7 years for me so these details elude me.

Re: Pelican Bar
Again.. guesstimate of time from Negril to there and back and a good and fair price. Helping my girl with her party of 13 for her Birthday celebration and this is one of the many excursions they are considering.

Re: Pelican Bar
$50-$60 a head with four or more seems to be my experience. We use Rocky, and the costs include the boat ride from Basel's in Parottee. The car ride is about an hour and a half each way.

Re: Pelican Bar
THanks Spiff. I will copy paste the answer for Lisa. Don't know Rocky, but guess I could find him. If you throw in the boat that makes it really worthwhile.

Re: Pelican Bar
Spiff does Rocky have a big vehicle, and if necessary can he get a second one for a group that size if his cannot hold 13

Re: Pelican Bar
Thing about Pelican is I have always said it is best if you take your crowd with you and I know this bunch will have a blast there. I just have to get them there.
