Fawnridge,
So you have stayed at Couples 20 or more times? Wow, that's enogh cash to just buy a place in Negril. I know in my 20 trips I've spent enough to start thinking of buying. I normally go twice a year as well. Btw.. Thanks for recipe.

noproblem - I've been to three of the four Couples resorts a total of 31 times since 1982. I've probably spent enough to buy a nice vacation home in Jamaica. But who takes care of it when I'm not there? And who's going to cook and clean while we are there? I'm a house husband. My wife works at Home Depot as a kitchen designer. I've got a software business that I run from home or the Boca beach or my room at CSA. But mostly from home where I cook and clean and maintain an elaborate garden. When we're on vacation I don't want to do anything besides relax.
Trust me, even if I could afford the vacation home, it's too much hassle.
Besides those mentioned, I like Bourbon Beach. If you like jerk, consider a trip to Boston Beach for the best jerk. On The Border Jerk and Scotchies are two other very good jerk stops as well as a place just before Mandeville whose name escapes me.
Pork Pit in MoBay very good too, close to the airport, not out of the way at all.
Right on. I agree with you on the couples-only, no children vibe. We look for the same experience on the cliffs. Personally, I don't think my wife and I would get our money's worth staying AI. We enjoy eating at different restaurants each day and we don't really do a whole lot of activities (aside from walking and swimming).
And thanks for the jerk recipe!
I ate at Jimmy's Pork Pit in Mobay nearly 20 years ago. Is it the same one?
Is Bourbon Beach still in business? I heard they had a fire and closed the place.
The sauce on the right is from Bourbon Beach, the one on the left is Ossie's.
Here's a bunch of us who walked up from CSA to eat at Bourbon Beach in October 2009.

Rick nice of you to share the recipe. Thank you.
Thank you for the recipe. Hear a lot of good things about csw.
Fawnridge, our fav is Ossies. So is that the sauce that is hot, hot, hot in the squirt bottle that they keep on the counter? Were you able to purchase this? Thanks!
Kristine - Yes. Paulette, the cook, sells it for around $10 a bottle Bring her an empty Wata bottle and she'll fill it up. I take home six bottles every time we go.
