Re: Hiking
CosmicMoose this must be the place my friend Malcolm mentioned to me. It looks wonderful! Waiting to hear what others might have to say about it - but it's definitely going on the list. Would be nice to spend time there in the morning and then go to Jackies on the Reef for lunch and a massage. Just saying'

Re: Hiking
No bad smells at the treatment plant. Here is an old posting along with photos of some of the birds.

Re: Hiking
Hi Mrs Wilson,
I just happened across this, but looking at TripAdvisor, people have said that this is closed, while some comments said that you can still get in. Anyone else on the board have any info? I'd be interested in this as well.
Royal Palm Reserve, where 300 acres of swamp forests and wetlands shelter more than 300 types of birds, butterflies, and abandoned Rubik’s cubes.
I'd be interested to know the stories behind the abandoned Rubik's cubes too, lol.

Re: Hiking
rjonson that was a crazy interesting article on the water treatment stuff -- who knew? And moose thank you because I forgot all about Royal Palm - i've never been but have also been interested. There are lots of good options - I'm writing up a list. After 17 or so trips, I've only been to Abeokuta! So they don't know yet that many of their plans will be scrapped to just hang. But that's all cool.

Re: Hiking
I've had great birding at the Royal Palm Reserve. I'm not sure the latest status on whether/when it's open.....it was closed last January when I was there.
