Yes, yes, yes, and yes.... Do what Lola says! None of those things are specific to solo travelers, mind you. Any and all visitors are subject to those four specific things. And like Lola says, if you take care of your items, you won't have any problems.

I've never had anything stolen, but I have had something returned! My iPod fell out of my pocket in a taxi and the driver came back to give it to me. Not exactly an anti-theft story, but the majority of people you will meet are warm, inviting, and whpant to make sure you are having a good time.

i just stayed solo at sunrise club for 5 days....like said the back rooms are much quieter....the owner is on property and his family are always around...safe in the room, access to the pool next door at coral gardens, beach access at bar b barn...tip michael dendy, the day beach security at bar b barn and he will look after you for your stay....if you didnt think you would b offered drugs or prostitutes, you didnt research your trip at all...just say no....i loved the sunrise club...times square for shopping next door, two convinient stores also next door...new years eve is a blast....
