Why not dispute the charge with the credit card company, and let them deal with it
Good point, John. Thanks
SoloTraveller,
I had issues getting a refund from Kuyaba too. Once I disputed it with my cc company, the money was refunded. Long story short... I made the reservations back in November for Feb 21-26 for 2 nights in the Honeymoon suite and 3 nights in a deluxe room. I just happened to see a post on Kuyaba's FB page that their reservation system was having problems. So I wrote an email to them asking if my reservations went through because I saw 2 charges on my cc and I wanted to verify that the reservations glitches didn't effect us. After about 10 emails back and forth, every 2-3 days, I found out that neither reservation was good. After asking 3-4 times for my refund and being told it would be processed tomorrow, they asked me to send them my cc #. At this point I called my cc company because I was not going to email my entire cc # to anyone. Anyway... after about 6 weeks I got the charges refunded after I disputed them. And this was weeks after paying the cc bill :)
I truly don't believe that I would have known our reservations weren't good until we arrived on the 21st. That would have been a great start to our vacation, during high season!
Enjoy Firefly! We have considered staying there before, but it just hasn't happened yet. Looks lovely! We will be at Beach House Condos now, rather than Kuyaba :)
SoloTraveller, I have had a similar problem on a refund when a card was no longer current. Be sure and inform the credit card company of the new/old card situation. I know they should be aware of this, but my issue was resolved in a couple of days after I reminded them of the old #. Hope this helps.

Always a good idea to repeatedly confirm reservations.
