Sorry, Bobmac, I must have had dirty bananas on the brain. In reading Lisapat's post, I realized you were asking for hummingbird recipes! For hummingbirds, like Lisapat says, you would just add a strawberry syrup. The juice of sweetened frozen strawberries that you find in the frozen food section at the groc store works good too.

I never thought of that, Maryann....I've never much been a fan of grenadine, it's so sticky gross and pricey...froz. strawberries would be great:o

Momthor3, we've got our dates already picked for next year 2/8-2/18. We hope to see you back on the island. We're having our annual Jamaican party this Saturday at our house and Randy, Ann, Larry, Darlene, Wanda and Bob will all be there and I'll give them all your best.
-
Maryann, I'm going to try your recipe today and swap out the simple syrup with strawberry syrup and see how that tastes. I have to be prepared for the party tomorrow. Thanks

Bobmac have a great Jamaican party and say Hi from me to all.......our dates will cross for next year I am sure and already looking foreward to meeting up again on the beach. Thank Anne for the pictures on Facebook they are great!

Maryann, I used 1 oz of strawberry syrup instead of simple syrup and the drink was perfect. thanks
-
Maryann, Bobmac made great Hummingbirds with your recipe -- thanks for the help!
Momthor3, Had a great time hanging with you in Feb. Same time, same place next year?
Mmmm, squirrels like Hummingbirds for breakfast...
-
O I think squirrels like dirty bananas, mango daquiaris(?)(maybe that's me)and rum cream in her coffee(which is a very bad habit to try and break let me tell you, but the boss said i had to) as well. Next year we will try them all!!!! Love ya!! Same time, same place!!!

Good! I was going to ask how they turned out. What kind of rum did you use? I can never get them to taste as good as the ones in Negril.
-
Maryann, I used Tia Maria, Rum Cream and some white Don Q Puerto Rican rum. The strawberry syrup was smuckers. All we were missing was the sand for our toes to rest in.
