Lawdhavmercy!! Owners of Catcha have such superb vision!!
Yes they do, incredible vision. It was cool talking to Harry yesterday about the transformation from when they bought it until now. He loves his place and wants his guest to appreciate it as much as he did when he used to stay here as a guest.
The nice thing about the new room is how is blends in with the property and sort of draws the old part of the resort in with the new building housing the 6 rooms(Leo,Aries, etc.)
OMG I can't wait! So what do all you Catcha fans think - should I see if we can switch to Sky?
What room are you booked in now?
They're in Virgo.
Sky (or most Catcha rooms, period) would be a tough act to follow. Going to feel like a downgrade to Country Country, but it will be a lovely, more rustic beach cabin experience.
Melody is correct, we're in Virgo. We've never been to Catcha, but I'm loving the look of the new building :) Country Country will definitely be different, but we're also looking forward to our time on the beach...
oh ok, Virgo
Well let me see if I can help explain the two so you can make your choice
The new building containing Sky and Coral is RIGHT NEXT to the previous "new building" that houses Virgo (and Aquarius, Sun, Leo, etc) so the view from your balcony will be similar.
The only real difference is that Virgo is a downstairs unit whereas Sky would be an upstairs unit, however the view will be spectacular either way you go really!
The biggest difference between the two rooms will be size.
Virgo is a suite as are all the rooms in the 2-story building with the exception of the Little Capricorn. The suites like Virgo have 1 or 2 bedrooms depending on the room (Virgo is a 1 bedroom), they also have a bathroom, a living room, dining room / kitchen combo and a balcony / patio. These suites are the equivalent of having your own apartment in Negril on the cliffs....they are amazing! The bedrooms have a/c whereas the rest of the living areas have fans, but in December you will be fine with either.
Sky and Coral will be more like the cottages such as Libra, Sagi, etc. The only difference is that they are one of top of the other. So this would be like if you put Sagi on top of Libra for example. They are the equivalent of a studio. They are one room that contains a bed, dresser, tv, etc along with a little table and microwave / fridge combo and of course a bathroom. Because they are essentially just one room, they are fully air conditioned (also have fans as well)
So in closing I would say this:
1) Either one you choose, you will be happy!
2) Both will have the same fabulous view
3) The only real difference is size, so if you want the apartment style with multiple rooms and lots of space (pick Virgo). If you want the room more like a studio fully a/c, still has everything you need, pick Sky (or even Coral)
4) Every room at Catcha is awesome and I could probably find something cool and unique to say about all of them, so there really is never a right or wrong answer when it comes to picking a room at Catcha!
5) You are going to have a wonderful time!
Enjoy :)
Thanks Marley - that is great info! I think we'll just leave as is. What the heck - it'll give us an excuse to go back! :)
