We were delayed flying on Wednesday due to Hurricane Sandy and flew out Friday, October 26th and I can tell you, we have been to Negril 8 times and never saw the waves crashing that hard so your pictures do not surprise me at all. Hubby was a bit nervous about flying out due to the wind and waves, but the flight was smooth and on time.

We were there in April and there was a lot of seaweed for a few days but that is just riduculous!

It did smell bad but yes it is cleaned up now and the beach is back to being sea-weed free.

Yeah, the odor was a real stomach turner at times.

Especially when it rained! I was there from last week until this monday...I hated the smell!

Well, it is good that the ocean regurgitated it out of its system .... and that it was removed. Good news for the reefs!! It'll give some of the coral larvae a fresh spot on the reefs for attachment.
