I think it depends on when you leave as far as time saved. We left on the Monday after thanksgiving our last trip, and security was already backed up. Time savings is not really that great at either end on many days, but it is like all things... A bit of pampering on vacation. I am of the mindset that when I go on vacation, I am done. If I could hire someone to hold my beer for me, I probably would. Many of us on this board have been to jamaica many, many times, are used to the routine and know what to expect on our arrival/departure day. For me, the whole service is a cheap way to remind myself that I am on vacation, not so much of a time saver, but more of a treat to start the trip off hassle free. Aside from immigration, they also go get your cab, help you get your luggage etc.... The lounge is much nicer than the old first class lounge, but the airport is so nice now, it makes little difference.
I'd still do it again, despite no time savings on the return. The lounge is a very civilized way to spend a few hours. I was surprised as it was Jan 2.
I think it all comes down to your budget. If you can afford it, go for it. If not... you can join me in the lines. I don't get the impression that it has a huge impact on time savings from others experiences.
