Thanks all. The only thing that is not for sure is if we can change US$ to JA$. Is that correct?

I am contemplating a stop there when we arrive for our trip. I cannot sleep without a fan, and while we were able to get one last year, I figure I'll just stop this year, and leave it at our last hotel. I'm sure tony will think I am crazy to want to stop when he picks us up, but there has to have been crazier requests.

:) I too need a fan to sleep! I found a small battery powered one for the bed side. The brand is O2 COOL.

Currently, Mega Mart does not have a cambio for foreign exchange. If you purchase groceries etc, you can use US$ and your change will be in JA$. They give an extremely fair exchange rate.
