Re: Sticker shock at swept away
Remember, AI at Couples also includes transfers, excursions, watersports, daily/nightly activities plus unlimited 24 hr food and drinks.
We rotate every other year AI at CN and then non-AI on Long Bay and always spend more non-AI.
If you are active and use most of what is offered, the $320-$360 per day cost at Couples is worth it (imho).
This year, we are at Idle Awhile and Catcha and just the average daily room cost is over $200/day.
We will be lucky if we spend less than $100/day once you add up food/drinks/water sports/transfers/route cabs/tips/entertainment/ect...
And we stock our fridge and get all the $ saving tips on here but we still always blow our budget.
If I could not find CN for less than $400/day, then the tables would turn...
Re: Sticker shock at swept away
at that price, not only should they save a beach chair for you, they should engrave your name on it. hehe, sorry had to go there!

I agree Kim,if you utilize all the services, left out catamaran ride,5 restaurants, room service....Stayed at CN/CSA......BUT...I dont need all that so I can stay at CoCo for $100 per day? Most of the time CSA is over $350...Usually $500/600 per nt.
Re: Sticker shock at swept away
call!-- sounds like rack rate to me
Re: Sticker shock at swept away
What time of the year are you traveling?
Re: Sticker shock at swept away
The rates have gone up at Swept Away. If you are traveling next year in April Easter falls later so their high season rates have been extended later into the month. It has been the earlier you book the better rate you can get.

Re: Sticker shock at swept away
I was just taking a look at the rates for next April and it looks like right around April 19th rates reduce almost in half.
CSA was starting at about $352/night with the 7th night free. :D
Now you've got me planning our next trip before we even go on this one!!
Re: Sticker shock at swept away
Couples Swept Away Dec 3 to 10th $1230pp without air. Cheap Caribbean
Re: Sticker shock at swept away
We also usually end up paying around $300/nt by watching specials on the Couples website and staying in late Nov/early Dec. Check rates at allinclusiveoutlet.com or call Deb (http://www.couples-resorts-experts.com/) at 800-313-9940. Deb's prices are the best I've found for Couples and we've used her several times. Unless you're looking at the top tier beachfront rooms during the high season I can't imagine a rate of $650.
