it's the time of year you are making your inquiry about....
by far the busiet time and most expensive time of the year....Negril is packed then.....
plus it's the easiet time for hotels to fill their places too....
thus they might not move as fast as usual to your inquiry........
you need to contact a lot of places around a year in advance.......
or at least before the summer for the holidays to secure your spot at the nicer places.....
still rooms available but you aren't gonna get your pick unless there is a cancelation.........
you'l have better luck on the Cliffs versus the Beach.........
mi will be der then.........hope to see a lot of boardies

Yeah Marko, really is a busy time of the year fi sure! But it truly is a sweet time! Hope to see you there! :)
Re: Hotels Must be doing well?
Other places to try are Wild Parrot and Le Mirage.
Re: Hotels Must be doing well?
Marko,
This will be our fourteenth year so I am well aware of what you are saying.
Mine main point was the lack of response.
Re: Hotels Must be doing well?
We inquired with the Wild Parrot ..about a booking for next April ..
& never received any word back ..
Booked with Mom's Place .. excellent customer service & great rate
Re: Hotels Must be doing well?
Do you by any chance have a URL in your standard email header or footer? Just asking because I manage several mailing lists and am increasingly seeing such email flagged as spam. Depending on the email provider and client, once something is flagged as spam it may simply vanish, or it may be stashed in a spam folder that is rarely or never examined.
If you use a small or private ISP, there is also always the possibility that someone using your ISP is sending spam so email from everyone using your ISP is getting blocked.
I have no idea whether anyone would pay attention to Twitter messages. I personally don't.
Re: Hotels Must be doing well?
wrtii, thank you for your explanation but this is not an issue. If Rockhouse and other hotels are going to use a twitter account to interact with guest on daily basis and to increase their brand awareness then they should also be prepared to reply to followers. Don't forget I had already emailed them and was using Twitter as a last resort.
I love JA for its laid back soon come attitude so I guess I can't moan too much when I am seeing the other side of the coin.
Re: Hotels Must be doing well?
I had your same experience with booking for XMAS/NYE but I started the process in February and even back then places were either totally booked or the number of rooms we needed weren't available. It also took awhile to get a response from certain places.
Try NBCC through Jean Gaynair.

mi hear ya.....and mi have to admit Jamaica isn't big on emails......
mi always tell everyone to call versus emails....you'll get a response......or a faster response....
now if people ran their businesses like their personal life in Jamaica......
you could just text or BBM dem and you'd be all set...... ha ha
