Ok... So as we are at Gracie's a bunch of kids were getting home from school. We just had to share some stickers with them

They were so sweet..back on the bus. Next stop Sunset after Dark. Drinks were good and not expensive. The one girl had blender issues which was pretty funny cause as fast as she poured in the booze it ran out of the blender.
Next stop was Sword Fish Restaurant. I left my mark pretty much wherever we went
Attachment 33770
I had ice cream here and it was good. Really nice looking bar actually. I talked to the guy in the kitchen and they were making something with Oxtail. It smelt really good.
Back on the bus now I forget the name of this next place...it looked high end to me. I added my mark to their dinner sign
Attachment 33771
The music was starting as we were leaving which was too bad.
Two more stops. Xtabi
Attachment 33772
We went down to the caves here..pretty cool..chatted up the kitchen staff again. I love talking and it's fun to chat with the staff of a place too. I find a lot of them have been at the same place die many years. And I swear...pretty much every man you meet offers to be your "friend". Lol.. Seriously mon...have a sunset pic but it's not great
Attachment 33773
Posting a pic of myself..not flattering at all but I look really happy..cause I am! Kind of hung out with two couples from England..they were a blast. Attachment 33774
One more stop. Bella Donnas. She Served up some pizza..bought a bracelet from a young girl here which I lost about five minutes later...no pics on my camera ..
Ride back was much more lively. Actually I thought it needed a little more so I squeezed my way to the front and taught a little Zumba class :). All good.. The Brits loved it..
Back at the Rondel and the band was playing..not very good until a guest singer joined them. I ended up dancing the night away with a couple I met from Holland, the bartenders girlfriend..and well..mostly myself! My husband had an early night and I promised my friends I would not leave the premises..and I was a good girl :)

Ended the night at ...can't remember the name go it.. Danced to a bad band..to be continued...
that's ras husmo with the "crazy hair" --- check out his art . . .
Beautiful photos!! Your dinner from Montana's looks delish!
I agree w Seveen - stop Ras Husmo with the crazy hair and look at his artwork. He has a heart of gold and is a great guy to chat with.
Hopefully I'll run into him again then. I've only seen him once since I got here.
I hope you meet a lady named Wendy aka Wicked Wendy, the two of you would have fun together :)
Wicked Wendy..... Like I need more danger in my life...lol
Great photos! Is the dirty banana from Rondel?
Good Stuff!
Keep it coming!
Enjoy,
VVHT
Great to see you living it up and doing different things every evening. You three looked like you were having a lot of fun Valentines Day, it was obviously too early in the day for lingerie...LMFAO.
The tent is a great idea for the beach, is it easy to set up?
Lol..no lingerie.. The tent is fairly easy..just have to make sure I don't get sand in the pole ends and weight it down with sand. I should have brought some longer anchoring posts. The ones that come with the tent are too short and if it's windy the tent lifts. Or a strong to anchor it that way. All in all it's working very well.
Love the picture of you sitting on the ground in the court yard.
"I've fallen and I don't want to get up"...
Will continue this report..suffering from being very relaxed... :)
Chris it was great to meet you- you are a blast!
it was nice to see you on the beach, soon come
Same here D! You are just a ball of fire! I can't think of one person, Jamaican or tourist that I didn't like...that's a good holiday...now that I'm home I'm gonna get this report done! Kind of hard to remember everything but I'll do my best. Gonna start the laundry first...
Feb 16 started the day at Montana's ...mmmm egg, bacon and cheese sandwich...I love good food and I don't know that I has any bad food in Negril. Today we went for dinner at The Rayon. We have friends staying there and it's a beautiful place and the food was delicious. I'll try not to repeat myself but I am a little mixed up now that I'm back. My journaling took a back seat to feeling the Jamaica vibe :) Chilled during the beach and just enjoyed the day. Went to White Sands for two for one PiƱa Coladas (boy were they strong!) and to watch the sunset from the balcony. That's were I "creeped" the pic of the beautiful girl wearing a thong.

I'm so glad that you had a wonderful trip to Negril. The comment you made about not having any bad food while you were there....that is one of my favourite things about Jamaica. The food is so delicious and there are so many great places to eat! Question for you. Now that you have experienced Valentine's Day in Negril how would you answer a newbie's question of whether or not it is a big deal?
Feb 17 today is our Zimbali tour day.we got picked upped early so we could walk around the area before our official farm tour. Is is one well run operation. Food was five star and we had a great time celebrating one of our friends birthdays! This was our most expensive meal but considering we left at 1:30 or so and didn't get back till well after dark I would say it was absolutely worth it. We met Fire on our walk up the mountain and actually caught a ride with us back into town to "drop something off". He loved the birthday boy cause they were both wearing red shirts..he was a fun character. We saw his home on the mountain and it boggles the mind at all the things we have and how by our standards Fire has virtually nothing and was just such a happy man. He has lived up there for years.
We were supposed to swim in a creek but a tree fell over it so it was more of a puddle but I was so dang hot I sat in it anyway. All the produce they use in the restaurant is from the farm and it is delish! On the way back we stopped for gas and a guy in a military uniform came up to my window and demanded $10.. I was slightly nervous but I looked at our driver and he wasn't excited so I wasn't either...I noticed his gun was made of a broom handle and figured he was ex military with a few issues. I told hi mild give him $1 and he took it and let me take his pic. When I told Shorty about it later he said the guy suffered from war damage and probably would have been happy with loose change. It was a dollar well spent anyway. :). Now...some pics

Feb 19 beach day and our own pub crawl with Norbert. Had lunch at Alfred's today and it was really good. I was craving greens so a large salad for me, We went to Ricks to watch the divers...ok..I know this is a popular attraction but I've "been there, done that". That place was nuts! I got claustrophobic as soon as I was thee. A diver did dive off the high board but we were not close to enough to see it. iNSANE there...went for a bevvie to C & D and I think the Rock House. Had dinner at Swordfish and I posted a separate thread on the place cause I just love it!

Taking a break...can't believe how much laundry I have. And apparently I need groceries..
Feb 20th. Road trip to YS Falls and Black River today. We hired Norbert for the day. He is an awesome guide and I feel like he is already our friend. He takes the time to explain things along the way. I really should have recorded him..so much information. The plan was to eat Jamaican all day which is what we did. I love the food in Jamaica! Originally we were going to go for a short day but decided we wanted to see more of the country. We stopped to stretch our legs where they were cutting log wood to make room to widen a bridge. Next stop White House for a Juicy patty...love those Mega patties..Yum! Passed by St Elizabeth which Norbert said is the bread basket of Jamaica.
Next stop YS falls. Stands for Yales and Scott's. So pretty here..I like it much better then Dunns River falls. It's also a farm where they study horses although I saw more cows then horses here. We had a guide walk us through the different falls. Dang near lost my bottoms! We sat in one section that's like a jacuzzi and the water had them around my ankles! We laughed pretty hard on that one. Would have been pretty embarrassing if I would have had to get out if the water bottomless! I didn't have the nerve to swing from the rope swing. I'm accident prone and figure I better be safe. We hung out there for awhile..it was so tranquil there.
We headed out to Black River but first we stopped to try some fruit. We tasted Sour Sup (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong), didn't like it and Mean fruit, which I loved! String mango, don't like, and Julie mango which I do like. And I think there was something called Nexberry. Didn't like that one either..lol
Next snack was salt fish fritters and pepper shrimp. Really like the shrimp. Spicy!
Headed off to Black River and went on a crocodile tour on a pontoon boat. There was a huge crocodile crawling out of the water and if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believe it was real. We spotted a few crocodile in the water and local birds. It was just nice being out on the water and the guide was very chill.
On the way backed we stopped at a fish market and I should have video tossed what happened..we were accosted by about 15 fisher women! Lol..they all wanted us to buy fish from them. It was hilarious and I burst out laughing. You couldn't even move. Eventually Norbert settled them down. He had actually pre arranged for us to try fish from one lady but she wasn't there. The fish we had was deep fried and delicious! We ate it with some kind if bread..not my favourite and Johnny cakes or carnival as I think it's called. Yummy! It was raining by this time and all the sellers had settled down.
Back to town and later headed out to Best in the West. I thought the jerk was just ok here. Went off to Bourbon beach for some music here I danced the night away..hi I have to tell you guys. We were walking on the beach and I kept saying to everyone watch out for the ropes..well..right at the beach I trip in the last rope! Got to excited I guess when I realized there was a bonfire and music! Pretty much a face plant..nothing injured other then my pride.
So I danced the night away with a lovely girl whose name escapes me and I husband waited in the background and got hit on by a number of girls. He took it in his stride. All in all a fun day and night!
Road trip. First stop the school where Norbert's Mom works

Feb 21...had last breakfast at Montana's. Still great! Hung out on the beach and said by to some friends. Was getting misty so we went to the Boat bar. I can't believe I hadn't been there in the ten days I was in Negril. Music was great! The same guys were there that I'd danced to at the Rondel. They recognized me from that night which was cool plus we were standing right beside them in the rain. Well I was dancing. My goal was to dance every day and that plan was a success! The bar was packed!
Headed off to Swordfish for our last dinner and called it a day

Feb 22. Had breakfast for the first time at The Rondel. The waitress didn't recognize us and said we must have been out and about a lot which we were! It was ok but Montana's was better. Took our last dip in the sand, said goodbye to the staff with a hug from Donna our housekeeper and time to go...I cried..Norbert was so sweet and gave me a big hug. He commented how he felt we had really become friends. I added him to my FB account so he could look at my pics. I told him about the forum and that he needs to be on it! He is such a great guide. Homeward bound and arrived without incident. Tomorrow I get to become stressed again at the office. Been a pleasure meeting so many locals and tourists. I would love to come back. AND remember how I've mentioned my husband was hesitant about coming to Negril? Well he loved it! He loved the sense of humour that people had and how nice everyone was. We had zero issues with vendors in the beach which I was expecting and found people to be very generous. I think you get what you give and that goes for a vacation. We went in with a smiling and generous attitude and we were rewarded 10 x...I'm gonna miss the chill attitude of Negril...I now also know that I could travel here alone or with girlfriends and not be concerned...may have to have a chick holiday next time!
