Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
I hope ya'll have a great vacation at Catcha!! Your daughter will love it, the snorkeling is great there. There is a young man that works there (cant remember his name). he showed the four of us all the good snorkeling spots around catcha and was a huge help to us with anything we needed. Go and enjoy!!

Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
My wife and I stayed at catcha last November and like it. The only problem I can see is what we experienced. with an ocean swell coming in water access was closed.
For 2 days we were not able to swim because the crashing waves would push you into the cliffs. I am a very strong swimmer and would not attempt it.
Without water activities there is very little to do at catcha regardless of age. We did a lot of hiking along the cliffs in the west end and the crashing surf did make for some great photos.
Have fun enjoy you vacation
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
I could understand parents not wanting to expose their kids to all of the subs they might see consumed anywhere up on the cliffs
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
That I can understand. I may not at all concur, but I understand. Otherwise, the vague "adult environment" leaves me puzzled. Especially with reference to young adults. It's not like the place is a sex club. Perhaps all young adults are now considered hyperactive? I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, I'm just surprised that so many seem to think that people in their teens would not enjoy chilling in that atmosphere. I certainly would have. And not because I didn't have plenty of wild in me. (I'd certainly agree that me and several friends at that age would be disruptive. Me alone .... I'd have probably just been annoyed by how loud middle aged louts can be when they drink.)

That's true. Younger children, I can definitely agree with. By the time we go, she will be almost 16 and a year and a half from going away to college. I don't think, in my case, it will unduly influence her beliefs.

I agree, anyone in a large group can become loud and rowdy.
It's so beautiful, I don't know how anyone couldn't enjoy it. First thing she said when she ate there the first time was she wanted to stay there one day.
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
I have been to CFS in July and seen no children under 18. We were there over Christmas and send a few teenagers. They were polite and well behaved ..
I just feel this is a nice relaxing Resort. I would love to see CFS make this a adults only resort. It will still be sold out all the time. This area is a very Free Area. If you don't mind your teenager being around Ganga or women laying with tops undone, Bring your daughter . please don't condemn others that's choose to enjoy their vacation.

Does Hedo accept teenagers accompanied by adults?

I don't think so, that would be very inappropriate given what goes on there.

At Catcha? Wow. That's crazy regardless of where you are on vacation.
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
We were at Catcha over Christmas/New Years. We typically stay in the new condos. They have a kitchen, sitting/living room, large balcony, nice sized bath nd a bedroom. Teen could easily sleep on the couch or have an extra bed put in the living area.
In addn, there was a family there with two teens as well.
During our stay this year, we had a group of eight (yes, eight) 20 somethings near us in a two bedroom condo. Later ion the trip we had a three (isn) year old next door. Never did I realize that there was a ban on kids? (I am being serious) In addition, there was a family there with two teens as well.
Frankly, I would ABSOLUTELY not have an issue with anyone having children near me at Catcha - as long as they are not young enough to be crying all day/night. I worried briefly about the three year old, but she was well traveled and a gem. The teens with the family were AMAZINGLY well behaved and quiet. Probably more quiet than us!
oral of my post: I would rather have well-behaved teens in a room nearby than some of the adults I have seen, frankly..........

Thanks for your information! I wondered about the one bedroom suite.
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
That's interesting, since on their website it states no children under 15.
Perhaps they mean the age you act verses the age you are! :)
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
We were there in early October, about 4 women topless and one couple completely nude in one of the nooks. They jumped from the cliffs and climbed the ladders and walked back to their seats. A few of the women also walked to the pool and laid down on the raft in the pool topless. This could be a major embarrassment to your teen, but what the hell, it's their vacation as well. Enjoy
Re: Catcha Falling Star with teenager?
I am always there at the wrong time.
