Hi everybody!
3/11 to 17/11 - first time in Jamaica!
Don't know where to stay yet, but I've narrowed down my search to these places:
Legends, Coco, Travellers, Kuyaba and maybe Fun Holidays.
I'll be travelling solo, I am male in mid 30s looking mainly for relax and some good nightlife.
Any tips?

Well the best 'Bang for your buck' is the White Sands if you don't mind a clean, well maintained, basic resort with no frills but nice location on the beach (5 min walk to 'The Jungle') and it has a beach bar and restaurant... ( I'm not a 'Spa person' so it fits my needs well)... you can check out it's reviews for more info...Quote:

Rugv, I have to agree with Ukran1as, White Sands is not only the '' best bang for your buck'' ( why does that sound dirty, lol..) but it has one of the best social bars on the beach. It's perfect for
a solo traveler. Rooms are basic, but super clean, have great a.c. and refrigerator .
The beach area is part of the ''best area'' of the whole beach by far. ( Similar to Co Co La Palms, and Charellas. )
Price is the cheapest your going to find on the beach for the time you are going ! Check into it !
Negril Palms 11/11 - 19/11...UK based...35 Male...
White sands is a good choice. Basic but clean and great staff. Great location on beach.
Stayed last nov and no complaints really. Second floor beachside. Think rooms are smaller beachside and walls maybe a little thin. Nirvana next door looks very nice too. Also legends is a good option and I think a shuttle to its sister hotel in the cliffs is included. Cliffs are gorgeous and stayed at blue cave a couple years ago but miss the easy access to beach and watta.

The numbers seem a lot lower this year than in years past. Is it really going to be that slow over November?
It seems like it's going to be busier than usual this year...already hearing about folks switching their vaca plans to Jamaica from those islands that unfortunately were devastated by the hurricanes.Quote:
