I think PhineasFreaker summed it up perfectly.
One Scot ina room - party, two Scots ina room - riot, three scots ina room - never sober enough to remember!! :D
I thought I had it bad being Scottish and Irish here, the only people I hate more than myself are the English! :) Rough combo for you Brasi! :)
How did this turn into a scotish thread?:D
I have been to Negril 21 times...Capital of casual it is!!!! Nothing to do, and not near enough time to do it....All over the world are nices places..nothing is better than Negril...My friends all agree......
Ok, I want to come to the party, too! I'm Clan O'Fuarain of County Galway in Ireland and Clan Kinnimonth Of Banff in Scotland.
Of course, I'm married to a dirty Sassenach so I guess he wouldn't be invited lol.
I am purposely leaving out that my maternal grandmother is half Apache. That might get my invitation rescinded. Ha!
We are going at the begging of April. Have to keep and eye for the next party.
I am 14 times Jamaica, but it was only the last few years when I actually went "over the wall" and left the sanctuary of the all inclusives.......I feel more aware of the country and the people.Maybe thats why I gravitated to this website where the "real" travelers go (after being kicked off T.A.) so glad I did..........
That is great, "over the wall". So true. So many people are terrified to travel beyond the resort.
I've been told by some of the Jamaicans that so many of the stories are "made up" to purposely keep tourists
at the resorts. If they venture out, then the locals can make money at their business' and the government wants to keep them poor.
I have NO clue if this is true because I never got into the Politics of the island, but I have been told this a few times from the locals
LOL, I still remember when we booked our 1st trip, we were going to Sandals Ocho Rios and had to book at a travel agency (internet booking wasn't invented yet) and the travel agent was trying to discourage us from even going to Jamaica because she heard it was sooo dangerous, let alone go "over the wall"
Travel agents scare so many tourists. You can definately be scanned if your not careful,
but for the most part, I feel very safe there.
