Is 7am too early to "glom" a beach/ pool chair with a towell ?

I guess you've lost me, and it appears you are just looking for a fight because you are bored..

If you were to take my chair you would have to roll me off with the towel. I don't get up at the crack of dawn to reserve chairs. We sit in our chairs all day wherever we end up. The only time we may leave them is to grab lunch. If we are leaving the resort we take all of our stuff including our towels off the chairs.

but whatever...

People that save chairs hours before sitting in them are afflicted with "Only Person On The Planet Syndrome." They are the same people that leave their shopping cart unattended in the middle of the grocery aisle with no way to get around it while they are struggling to find the chicken noodle soup. You may have also heard one of them talking really loudly on their cell phone while they were standing in line behind you at the check out. It is not you that they are concerned with because only they matter.

Funny story, I was once falsely accused of the chair saving transgression while on a cruise. A jury of my peers acquitted me on the spot (mostly because I never left my chair) but my accuser asked my wife (who he did not know) if she would let him know when I died because he wanted to pee on my grave. Needless to say, no more cruises for me. I go to Negril now. I just hope that I don't run into these people that are attacking you because they don't think that you are as chill as they are.

And in the end,,,as the sun set into the water,,,they all came together and drank much Grog and danced like Fairies around the beach fire and told lies and made forgotten promises. Until ???

They did it all over again the next day on Vacation in Negril !!!!!!

We play the chair game, in fact...last week at Grand Pineapple, we were calling it a mock game of "Risk"...as a good percentage of the guests there are from Germany, and will gather in a flock on one section of the beach...I see the beach real estate as a kind of map........one day I told our friends..."they may have had France yesterday, but we are taking it back"....then I caught the historical reference, and felt bad, just a little...;)

I'm the person that moves your towel just that simple...although I wont touch personal items the towel is history...No worries:cool:

We have a phrase we live by in JA. "Mind your own vacation". We however aren't chair savers. We stay at the Yellow Bird. You may have seen us, we're the weirdos who have the big Queen sized Coleman air matress we store down there. So comfy but we do get alot of looks! :-)

Haha! Yes, all we do is lay out on the beach on it. I think people just stare at us thinking "why didn't I think of that?"

I don't towell save chairs but I have been known to put my towell on the beach bar stool at 6am? Hey man,I saved that bar stool !

Fred - you're implying that your butt leaves the bar stool long enough for you to need to "save" it. I've not met you yet, but I suspect that's not the case. :D

Well I do the walk bar crawl on the beach so give me some credit for that.

I agree - chair savers drive me nuts (which is one reason I won't do AI). You shouldn't save a chair for any reason. If you are going to lunch, taking a walk, whatever - remove your stuff from the chair and grab another chair if/when you come back.
