We are really enjoying your report and happy to see you are enjoying Negril!
Sounds like you are really enjoying your trip! Thanks so much for taking the time to share it. And that "laziness" you mention is called sand gravity. It's one of my favorite things about Negril...spending hours drinking red stripes on the white sand beach, watching the world go by. No electronics. No stress. Safe travels back home!
Sorry I haven't posted anything..was planning on it on the flight home, but I just didn't want to pay for the wifi on the plane. We got home at 9:00 P.M. in Colorado on Monday. And woke up to a fire going on very near our home. We have been on a preliminary evacuation notice since Tuesday. Depending upon what the wind does today I think we will be lifted tommorrow. Once we get resettled I will finish our trip report and post the final photos..Mrs Stang says we should have never left Negril, and wants to plan our next trip back.
I guess I should have said settled rather than resettles..that makes it sound like we are evacuating which we are not at this point.
Good luck with the fire, hope it does not become serious for you...
Also, a big thanks for doing this TR....we all love to hear about someone's first experience in Jamaica...
You're HOOKED> no surprise there ;)
Thanks for the post. It's always fun to be deflowered! Negril has chaged since my first time, yet is still the same. I love everyone's points of view, what they see and experience. Once you've gone you will always return, everyone here knows what I mean. Negril has very strong magnets.
I am new to this forum. We are leaving to Negril June 29th. first two days at Catch A FAlling Star , then to the Grand Pineapple. We have been to Jamaica 4 times , but never to Negril.
Negril is the last stop. Lots of us boardies started with other destinations but eventually found themselves hooked on Negril.
Love reading the trip report we are planning our first trip next april have had to put it off this year so going to book flights in the next few days that way there is no excuse
I still need to post the last few pictures..We have been pretty busy since we got back with the pre-evacuation due to the fires. Luckily we did not have to evacuate. It is sad though over 400 homes were destroyed. On a positive over 3000 homes were saved. Hopefully I will get to the pictures pretty quick.
here are the last few pictures I am going to post..dinner on the beach, our carving that Courtney did for us, and some misc pictures

This concludes our 1st trip..We are already missing Negril and the GP..Mrs Stang was working on her egg flipping skills this morning, and was wondering if she could get a job at the egg station at the GP breakfast buffet. We still have a decent size credit from American that we will have to use by March 2014..so we are looking at booking in January/ February for a late May travel date when she is finished with school. I hope you all enjoyed the pictures and our perspective from our first trip to Negril and the Grand Pineapple hotel. I really enjoyed putting this together.

we used a Fuji finepix 16 megapixel camera. bought it at wally world for 40 bucks as it was the display model. It works great!
It sure does work great. I cannot believe its 40 dollars. Thanks for the info.
