Groove, you looked happy, just like a couple of pics I had seen of you from a previous report. We were kinda off at our own table at 3Dives or we'd have been a bit more social.

Nice report and super pics.......my wife and I will be at IA in July and I didn't know about the water bottles.......do you provide them and they refill or does IA provide them?...........and I was wondering if Barry was still hanging around, we aren't clients of his but just wondering..............We stayed in that Jr. Suite at the beach a few years ago and loved it............Thanks for sharing!!!
They supply the water bottles at check in. The reception staff placed them on the counter, and said they are for water from their filtered system or rum or whatever you want to fill the with.....
Have a great trip in July, MBJ! We stayed at IA last Jan and did Charlea Inn this past May.....
My last picture on page 4 shows the red water bottles. They have a filtered water fountain you can use, or we had them fill them at the bar with ice and water. IA was awesome, did not meet Barry.
Loving your report, and Barry is always around. He's always in my sunset pics and can be a big teddy bear :)
We hung out on the beach for the afternoon and ended our day with dinner at Chill Awhile. None of the dinner pics turned out. We had callaloo fritters which were interesting, then I had snapper filets with a cream sauce and the DH had Escovietch fish. It was a little vinegary for him, but overall we enjoyed a quiet dinner and there was a light sprinkle around sunset.

Thursday was a lazy day. Sand gravity hit pretty hard and the back of my legs were sunburned from the snorkeling so I tried to stay out of the sun. We ate breakfast and lunch at Idle Awhile with room service for breakfast and burgers on the beach for lunch. Their French fries were perfect, the burgers were a little small. We went to the Canoe webcast with some friends from the beach and ended up being at Canoe for a little while, found out Rob and I grew up in the same part of the country, nice conversation, good rum punches and lion fish. Oh – the lion fish and chips at Canoe was really, really good. Nice firm fish and quite tasty, now someone needs to make sea urchins tasty! And I know I said hi to a couple of people, but those rum punches are deadly, wicked things.

excellent report - thanks for sharing!
Friday was our last full day and we hung out at IA and took one last snorkel trip. Breakfast was again on the porch. This time Captain Kirk took us to the reef area closer to Booby Cay and Number One got in with us. We were a bit more daring following him around the reef and we saw more than we did the first time.
First you have to assess the weather..

At one point we were surrounded by millions of fish, pretty cool until I started thinking about what would eat those....

We ended Friday with a walk down the beach during sunset, then dinner at Kuyaba. I didn’t get any good pictures at Kuyaba, but it was the best meal of our trip (sorry Ivans). The pepper shrimp are something I am still dreaming about and were huge!

Our flight on Saturday did not leave until in the afternoon so we had some time in the morning. We went over to Coco LaPalm for breakfast, just to get some of their wonderful banana bread, then spent some time on the beach, we dragged ourselves in to shower, got ready to go, and sadly packed away everything for the return trip.
I don't have any mystical, magical words of wisdom to end this with, it was a great week for us and we enjoyed every minute. Well, except maybe for that hangover the DH had Thursday morning, those moments were not ideal. :)
We rarely get one week together, let alone two, but this is our lucky year. We get to return in December. We're already booked right before the busy season and looking forward to enjoying a week at Coco LaPalm. We would have stayed at IA, but they are completely booked for all of December and our dates are not flexible.
Looking forward to our next trip and if there are any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Have a great day!
Jodi
Great trip report Jodi! Looks like you have our favorite lounging spot at IA. We were lucky enough to get a room there in July and November. Its our favorite place. There was just a write up on IA in Islands magazine. I suppose now that the word is out it will make it even harder to get rooms!
Thanks Jodi for the report and the pics :)
Excellent report and pictures Jodi, thanks for sharing!!

Jamb
Thank you all, IA was great, but it is hard to get in to. And we do love to snorkel. We're upgrading the snorkel camera this week, want to practice before our next trip. :)
And the pleasure was all mine Jamb.
Really enjoyed this report. Thanks for doing it.
enjoyed your report, Jodi...really loved the pics...no underwater camera in our group when I went snorkeling earlier that trip, so those pics brought back memories..
What an enjoyable trip report! Loved all the pics. You two would be fun to hang out with, in the Jamaican sun.
