Thank you for taking the time to post.
The boat on the beach with all the hand bags.... I was just wondering if that was Negril and whether or not that was the boat that carried the tourist bags from the ferry to the beach......
Thanks again,
VVHT

Someone asked about the back story . .
These two shared many miles all over the world.
This JA trip was for a 25th anniversary which included Key West for a week.
They went back a couple more times, including their 50th anniversary.
For a number of years they belonged to a travel club called Club International.
Don't recall the initial lump sum, but they then paid 73$ month.
This gave them a trip to Europe and 1 caribbean cruise per year. can you imagine!
Anyway they really enjoyed each other and passed along their wanderlust. a gift.

Those pictures are amazing, I love looking at pictures of the past. Although I wasn't born yet it looks as if a lot hasn't changed in Jamaica. I think that is the attraction to Jamaica for me, it's like a standstill in time. What really fascinated me about the picture of the Lucea Harbor with your mom sitting on the canon is that I took pictures in that exact place in 2012. It is so beautiful there, yet historical.
TY SO much~~~
what Lady Jane said... would love to hear your parents' story. thanks for sharing photos.. they are too cool!
Nice...
Thank you for sharing...what a treat!!
Yes a lot has changed and stayed the same. The world was much larger back then. Thank you so much for sharing.
wow totally cool for you to have. thanks for sharing!
So much enjoyed the pictures.
I got to Kingston in 1968. Looking at the pictures of how your parents dressed in the "capital of casual" brings back memories.
A gentleman would never go to diner without a jacket and tie.
And whites were the only dress permitted on the tennis court...
Thanks for the memories

As Jamaica lovers, we have thoroughly enjoyed these old pictures. Our first trip was in 1978 and our early pictures were lost in the hurricane of 1989.Thanks.
