Prayers going out to Neuville and his family! Every January we so look forward to Neuville's delicious pattys and the familiar sound of, "and the papa patties, and the momma patties, and the baby patties." Negril just wouldn't be the same without him.
Squarestatejeff.....
thanks so much for the update..........please give him our prayers and thoughts.........
Any updates on his progress?
Neville is back in business. We bought patties from him twice the week of Sept. 28. He said it was his first week back. This picture was taken Oct. 3.

Was wondering the same about him~Thanks for the update. We will see him in June:)~Thanks!!~STRONG and WILLING Mon!!
Blessings on Neville and his family. I met Neville in the Summer of 2007 or 2008. I'd just swam from Rooms On The Beach to Alfreds "Fireworks" barge. Looking back at the shore, I saw a tiny green dot and a tiny white dot. The green was my wife's shirt and upon arriving back at the beach, I discovered the white dot was Neville the patty man! What a kind, friendly Spirit! There are many things that add to the awesome vibes of Negril and Neville is one of them... Neville, I don't know if you have access to the net or perhaps a Boardie will share this entire thread, maybe print it out, but know you are missed, appreciated and looked forward to, just like sunshine!
Blessings

omg ty for the info, I too buy patties almost everyday for lunch from him when we are there. So glad to hear he is recovering. Hope we will see him in Feb. while we are there and that he is fully recovered
I saw The Patty Man on the last day of my stay - I was surprised given the reports of how serious his injuries were. He looks good, moves pretty well and states that the just couldn't stay home anymore. His only compliant is that his right hand is still swollen & painful, making it difficult but not impossible for him to work. Such a strong, hardworking, righteous man!
I'd meant to post that he'd be back on the beach. He was aiming for 10/25. Sounds like he made it out there sooner. Good to know. Thanks.
he is a example of the "hard working mentality" of most Jamaicans male and female..God Bless 'em All!
The one thing I missed last year staying at The Palms is that we never got to see Neville. We are hoping to be back at the NBCC this year and certainly look forward to supporting him and enjoying his wonderful food. Sad to hear about his troubles but certainly glad to hear that he is recovering!
Glad to hear he's feeling better and back in business. One of the first bits of advice I received when going to Negril was, buy patties from the Patty Man!!! We did and been hooked every since. He is such a nice guy. Looking forward to seeing him in December!! I get really excited when I see him, lol. Kinda like a kid and the ice cream truck.
So happy to hear he's feeling well enough to be back to work on the beach. He is such a sweet man & we always look forward to visiting with him when we are there. He's a big part of the charm of Negril Beach!!

nice photo, good composition....
BIG tips for him this year.....One buck patties for lunch, $8 bucks for jerk for dinner,,,12 bucks for nice dinner at Sunbeach........ And I need to pay $500 per night at an A/I for what???????????
Fred you are so right.....I much prefer the non AI experiences I have had in Negril.
$1 buck for Beef, Chicken or Veggie Patties is the best lunch around........
and $5 bucks for a Jerk Chicken dinner complete with rice and peas from Tony at No Limit Bar is fine too....
or $4 bucks for a Fried Chicken meal at SeaView/Corner Bar by da roundabout is tuff to beat.......
mi haven't gone over the $10 mark for a meal in over a year.........
Cool Runnings, Marko
Right on!! Gotta agree with the food at Seaview/Corner Bar. Some really great jerk and food plus it is definitely an interesting place. Patties are a great lunch for a great price! I can't say that I haven't gone over the 10 buck mark cause I gotta have me some lobster when in Negril. Living where I do, fresh seafood is not much of an option.
Think me know this man tóó.
Likkle story:
Mi was sunbathing/chilling at the beach (NMB), all by myself at the last hotel before the roundabout.
His face popped up behind the fence and he saw me laying deh, njoying da sun on my topless body...
He did nah come over to my chair, but our eyes crossed...
I thought it was just another (irritating) vendor, so when he called mi to buy some patties, me respond something (with a smile) like: "Yeah right, you wanna see my babes move, ait? Come to mi and I will buy!"
Than imma look a mi with such a sorry face, telling me he could not cross the beach at that point.
So I jumped up, and bought 2 great patties, for only JA$ 100 each! We had a good ova-standing & laugh.
Really hope to meet (and eat from) him in Febr. again!!
Thnx fe sharing the sad news, but good to know he's back in track!!
