Re: Sad time at The Castle
Ive always loved the castle, teddy and petrona. all three helped introduce this beautiful island and its vibes to me and wifey. I wish all three the best during this time of change
... and I'm sure there's a lot more to this onion than what's already been peeled off

Re: Sad time at The Castle
Had one great dinner from Teddy. On Ras suggestion went to castle (low low season) and ordered the recommended lobster Thermidor. Teddy was very apologetic and said he had no lobster. He took our order and sat us at a table down by the sea wall. 10 minutes later he came back with a plate of the best curried shrimp and proudly proclaimed that he had found a lobster! I didn't ask where.....the Castle losesAttachment 36255
Re: Sad time at The Castle
So, when exactly is Teddy leaving?
Re: Sad time at The Castle
Posters who 'know' these folks should post their well wishes and nothing else.
We do not know the circumstances and I'm sure the owner of the Castle didn't just rise one morning and decide to make changes.
Re: Sad time at The Castle
Bummer. This is the classic surfers, "you should have been here this morning."

Believe it or not, someone I know said something similar weeks ago but I didn't pay any mind to it. Thought things were going fine since no mention of it...guess not.
Re: Sad time at The Castle
We heard this rumor when we stayed at the castle this Feb. There is more to the story that I was told. It had nothing to do with Teddy fraternizing with customers, again, from what I was told. At this point all I have is mostly second hand information but the changes appear to be related to a personal matter and BCC policies that the personal matter violated. There's nothing real scandalous or backhanded with Susan's decisions involving this matter nor with the personal matter itself. Again, if the information I was given is correct.
I will miss Teddy but I'm also excited about what may come next.
Re: Sad time at The Castle
There is usually more to a story. 3 sides- Yours, mine and the truth. We didnt even know they served food/Teddy till our 3rd visit.
We really do love the castle and if it were not for our large group probably be staying there. I would love to see a bar..that grassy area would make a nice pool! Something to make it a little easier to spend an entire day there with out leaving the property. Love to head out and about but a few days each stay to just hang is nice! That said I hope the changes are positive but minimal!

Is this the same "Susan" from Catcha Falling Star?

Teddy is an awesome chef...but, just think of all the money he could make as a P. Diddy (puff daddy/Sean Combs) impersonator on a cruise ship or in Vegas!Attachment 36270
Best wishes to Teddy on his new adventure!
