Re: Blizzard Of The Millenium
hey_mon and everybody else. Another major snowstorm in NE, not sure about airport closures or flight delays but about a foot of new snow, sleet, and high winds.Yea I know compared to some it is no big deal except it's winter (Today is Ground Hog Day, Yeah remember Bill Murray??? and the little Ground Hog says 6 more weeks of winter).
So all you lucky guys and girls who are in JA especially Negril (or are going soon) please toast your winter brethren who wish they were there with you!!!
Man winter is getting old fast!!!!
PS Glad to see some are seeing lower airfares these days!!!!
Re: Blizzard Of The Millenium
Well I hope everyone found their way out of this weather and off to the sun, even if delayed, hey you are there!! We are looking at a balmy -39 tomorrow morning for our fine morning commute. Cannot wait to get my toes warm in the sand and hands wrapped arund an icy cold Red Stripe Lite....or maybe even an Irie Dread!!!!!
And no kids this year Johng!!!!! The two oldest have to work, no holidays in place, and the youngest is just starting his final term in grade 12 so graduation is first and foremost. They have many years to return, and am sure they will as they truly enjoyed it two years ago, all at the right age, and have an open invite from their Jamaican Godfather!!!! No Corleone estate, but a priceless time spent with him when they were here and the life lessons were endless. As he said, "Each one teach one"...goes both ways!
20 more sleeps....20 more sleeps!

Re: Blizzard Of The Millenium
;) Heard this song the year we got married there, and then last year on my husbands first night down, I had been down the week before with 8 other girls, General Trees was playing at Central Park. On the way home from the Saturday night show at the Seastar we yelled, "One stop" to the cab driver and jumped out as we heard him playing this. We got into the show in time to catch the end and he actually played it again for us as we danced and sang along!! Best impromptu moment of the trip .....

Nice!!! Don't get me started. If you haven't already loaded up your MP-3 player or Iphone (or whatever people use these days) with your hit lists (not that there is any scarcity of Irie music in Negril / JA) nice to listen during the flights.
Do you know Lee "Scratch" Perry??? Some of his s*** is really wild & Cool!!!
