Re: Our First trip to Negril (we are still here)
I never really knew how to play much reggae, but before we went to Jamaica I learned how to play Stir It Up, Jamming and No Woman No Cry. I saw youtube videos of Herman before going and really wanted to jam with him. I got to play all 3 of those songs with him. It was incredible! It took me a little while to figure out his tuning. He was very patient and when I finally figured out, he was like, "Oh, you got it now, let's start over from the top". Playing with him was so cool! I will have some serious "cred" with my son when he gets older and sees pics and vids of me jamming with "The Rasta Man"!

I think that picture may have been taken a little farther down the beach near Firefly. So the red fence is a little farther south than Firefly, but I'm not sure what property.

Here's a sneak peak sample of the video that I'm working on of me "Jamming" with Herman.

I'm still on a high from Jamaica and I hope I never come down! ;) The people, the food, the landscape...everything.
Re: Our First trip to Negril (we are still here)
It is indeed a special place, and has become dear to a lot of us.

DantheMan: Were you able to take that travel guitar as a carry on; or did you have to check it?

I always take it as a carry on and I've never had any problems. That's a fun little guitar!
