In the Gleaner today it says this; Antigua and Barbuda will welcome its first international flight on June 4 since the island shut its borders as part of the efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Re: June 4th Negril Sandals & Beaches Re-Open!

Per today's JamaicaObserver.com CARICOM Minster from Grenada says COVID-19 is contained and they expecting to be opening borders of Grenada, Trinidad and Barbados 1st week of June.

Sounds like you are actively planning to Miss Negril, MissNegril. In my opinion, Grenada, Trinidad and Barbados is no substitute.
Just my opinion.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.
I was only correcting your information that was inaccurate according to the Sandals statement.
What do the other islands opening have to do with Jamaica? Each country, city, town has to make the best decision for their people. I don't understand your point?!
Re: June 4th Negril Sandals & Beaches Re-Open!
Was tired of waiting to hear of Jamaica's opening plus been reading about the Jamaica crime problem and all those State of Emergencies so booked Antigua for this years June vacation.

It's not as simple as just announcing the borders are open....each country will have their own protocols, including Jamaica when it's announced the border will open here.
I'm sure you've read the Antigua Gov't protocols for international arrivals if you've made a decision to travel there in June...for those that haven't read it & might be curious...
masks are required in public, negative covid testing required 48 hours prior to travel, possibility of quarantining still....

Re: June 4th Negril Sandals & Beaches Re-Open!
That does not sound like a fun vacation to me after reading those restrictions...

This is the byproduct of being over-anxious about having to book a vacation when we are still in a global pandemic. If you just want to give up on Jamaica and go elsewhere then you can just do it.
I booked my next vacation in Jamaica today and I didn't even consider it before November and then willing to postpone it if necessary.
Nobody is any more anxious or frustrated than the Jamaican people.
