Re: Please Help The Local Musicians Out.
I knew you'd be in on this Phil...lol
I've taken SM58's , cords, tuners, picks ext for years. The salt air kills strings for sure.
If anyone does not know who to give anything they bring too , i'd be happy to help pass them along.
PM me and we'll hook up and I'll make sure they get where they are needed.
I'm at the Sea Star April 2-10th and The Coco La Palm April 10th till May 2nd. So we cam meet anywhere you'd like.
Now if only I can find a cheap bass drum pedal and some bass drum legs for the drummer Ricky at the Canoe my list for this year will be complete.
Thanks again for helping the hard working musicians of Negril.
Re: Please Help The Local Musicians Out.
These are all great ideas...I take a guitar each year and leave it with a musician...I love to play and jam with the musicians on the beach. If you have ever walked by the wall at the south end of CoCo's property and seen a jam then that is us playing.. I take plenty of strings and stuff but I don't like to go two weeks without playing so I started finding a hundred buck guitar each trip and taking it down. Towards the end of the trip I pass it on to a beach musician...This year was an exception as I took my Strat and played a set at Three Dives on the new stage with Clark's band...I have left 7 or 8 on the Island....Clip on tuners that clip to the head of the guitar is a great gift for 20 bucks...It benifits all of us when they can tune the guitar properly..Thanks Rasta Stan for this thread..."Hit me with music, when it hits you you feel no pain"
Re: Please Help The Local Musicians Out.

BrMon , sorry I seen someone else doing the jam thing there last April and thought it might be you.
Thanks so much Don Woody for pitching in to help out the local guys who provide the music in JA.
Re: Please Help The Local Musicians Out.
I bought strings and pics for my guitar at the little shop behind the Value Master Market. I am pretty sure he had drum sticks too.
Re: Please Help The Local Musicians Out.
