Police In Dub
worth a listen ..
I just re-read the thread and Dave and Ansell Collins - Double Barrel - is another great old reggae tune, that's often overlooked.
& the Aggrolites are an EXCELLENT band to see live ...
as they play alot of smaller venues..without having to take out a second mortgage
who doesn't love a little "Dirty Reggae"
... big fan of the Easy Star All-stars.. Dub side of the Moon (gotta watch the Wizzard of Oz to this one )
& The Lonely Hearts Dub Band
new release ..Thrilla ( not so much )
Great thread!
Looks like I got a lot of new music to check out.
(I have heard SS a few times and thought they were pretty cool)
How about another couple of older roots reggae -- Half Pint and Super Cat
Sometimes I find Reggae remakes a tad cheesey .. ( let's face it ..most remakes) (regardless of genres)
But these tracks are blazin' ..
Wayne Wade's version of Lady ..
& The Pioneers version of Papa Was A Rollin' Stone
Anything by Steal Pulse, Third World, Luciano, Bushman, Warrior King, Ritchie Spice, Burning Spear......
Thanks so much everyone! downloaded over 300 songs so far. BUT.... Think the constant Reggae music in the house is starting to wear on the kids LOL
