Hi I'm a Coloradoan. We just got home on Saturday. Spent 12 days and smoked everyday just like at home. Talked to a lot of folks about Ganga and got the same response from everyone.
1 Ganga is legal for medical ( cards available Nov 2015, and religious reasons.
2 as long as you carry under 2 oz and don't toke and drive you will not get a ticket. The police do not currently ticket you because the government has not given them the paper tickets to do so AND if they do somehow give you the US $4.50 ticket you then have the right to contest and they then must have it lab tested for US $20.00 to prove that it is Ganga. The police can't afford that. So be smart and don't carry more than 4 sticks of green and all is well.
Americanized places have signs prohibiting Ganga but it's rarely inforced. Ask them before you spark up.
Local places- the response will be "why- I can get you some? Or laughter over such a silly question

One caveat, even at local, Jamaican owned places it is still proper etiquette to ask before sparking up. There are some places that have their own reasons for not wanting herb (or any smoke) in their establishment.
Good point- I've only had the responses I mentioned but agree it is a good policy to ask. Plus if you get laughed at for asking, it's a great ice breaker and we've had some fun conversations because of that- thanks for the clarification!Quote:

I could stay home and smoke better herb for less.. Yes I do live in a place where it's legal but also in a place where outdoor grows the best... Basically I appreciate the availability and the price .. Aside from that Jamaica has too many reasons to visit!! But I think that they are more personal and for a specific type.. I love the music, the people, the food, the affordability, I mean really where else can one go and live like they do in Jamaica.. I love the history aNd how them still fight through the struggle.. There is something about Jamaica that just makes it the place for me...

Couldn't agree with you more.You are spot on IMHO. I wish the a$$holes in Illinois would wake up to this we can't even collect lottery winnings over $600 because our state is broke. I love to smoke when I'm down there it puts everything in perspective for me LOL

It's different for everyone.. Depends on your body fat, how much/ how often you smoke, and also how active you are... Iam guessing i would take about a year or 2 to piss clean

Please forgive my ignorance, but is it possible to buy pre-rolled spliffs/blunts? I only smoke when I'm in Negril (not at home for various reasons), so I'm "clumsy" at buying and handling herbs. If I can ask for pre-rolled spliffs, about what price could I expect to pay for 5-6 medium sized ones?
You will never be sure what is in your pre rolled and you'll be asked to pay anywhere from $5 to $10 apiece.

mavmaiden, choose a person to discuss it with. Tell them you are looking for 1-2/day but only if they give you something good, and not laced with anything. The first time they give you crap, the deal is finished. The men commonly smoke it with tobacco so if you don't want that, tell them it has to be 'ital'. Also that it has to be rolled nice like a cigarette, not one of those with flattened soggy paper at the end.
What are the chances of Amsterdam-like 'coffeeshops' in Jamaica? Think the government would ever go that route?

I think you need to just get there first, and then you'll have answers to your questions. Jamaica is a very different kind of place. You can read all day long, but you really just don't understand until you get a feel for the place itself. That takes several trips at least.Quote:
