I was wondering how long it was going to take for your 'friends' to find out about this report. It made it a day longer than I thought it would :D Personally, I'm enjoying your report and hope you continue writing.. just re-name them. You can't knock your 'friends' hustle, but... well nevermind:confused:
I didn't find anything wrong with your report, but I give you mad respect for not wanting to offend people. You are definitely not young and dumb...if anything, i commend you for being thoughtful. Thank you so much for sharing and I'm looking forward to more pictures :)

yes, it is a great report. and, yes, we do like food pics, too. you can still talk about what you do and how you feel, just talk in general terms .... we look forward to the next entry!
I will continue my report tomorrow...with a summary of the first 5 days that i removed.. as well as the pictures.
i hope who ever the boardie is, was just looking out for the group as opposed to trying to stir up drama.
i avoided the beach all day at the request of my friend, and went up to orange hill to see the goats =\
i will admit, when they came to my room this morning yelling at 8:30 i was a little shaken up... he never saw the posts but who ever did made it seem like something else was going on besides a friendship between two people, to the other party involved. I removed the post out of respect, because i respect this person as a friend. i took my postings a little too lightly, and will be more careful this time around. The last thing i want to do is step on anyones toes.
your trip report was fine... some folks are working it in more ways than one. Alot of relationships bought and sold on that 7 mile beach...

Don't worry yourself....most of us on the board can realize that you are a good person, meaning no harm at all. Probably all of us at one time or another, have had someone lash out. One of our trips, I specifically asked a "acquaintance" of ours if when I posted a report she wanted her name and establishment mentioned.....she said "no". So, I made no mention at all! Then, about 2 days, I received an irate email from her telling me that she couldn't believe that I didn't mention her place or any of the good times we had, blah, blah, blah.... I was shocked....thinking why in the world would she react in such a way.
We ended up discussing it upon my next reach and things worked out, kind of......seems as if sometimes you're damned if you do and damned if you don't! So, bottom line....enjoy and please keep posting. Your reports are great!!
Post away enjoy yourself. Some people have other issues that they don't want to get caught at.
So as you can figure I always refer to people in my trip reports as a friend, some times using the term lightly,lol Anyway I usually have to leave most of the good parts out and am careful with the pictures too. I kinda use as a general rule, any one when working are ok to post any innocent bystanders may not be cool with there pictures up.
When they run out of apple vodka again just do absolute and ting. It is very good.

Not.cool.at.all. In fact how freaking creepy is that? Please correct me if I'm wrong but having to avoid the beach? You were directed to do that? This is weird and frankly scary. The Internet is great, message boards even better, but there is a difference between real life friends and friends you meet on the net. Whomever came to your door early in the morning, well I hope they are real life friends. And not an acquaintance. And your nicer than me, any suggestion I should stay off the beach would have been met with a flying bird and a door slammed in their face. Don't think that just because your young makes it ok to be bullied. If someone had a problem with you should have acted maturely and sent you a quick message and been done. Having someone come to your room instead of taking care of it themselves shows they're thee ones with immaturity problems.
I AM really sorry you have had to deal with this, the fact you even came back to post is amazing, I'd have deleted my account immediately.
jbizek - i read it as one of her jamaican aquantainces woke her after being told misleading information about their relationship was being posted online, informed by a boardie being a busy body.. but i could be wrong.. in which case - i understand her reaction. gossip is often twisted - who knows what they were told.
i for one didnt see any prob with her posts - sans possible casual ganj smokin - which who doesnt see this everyday in negril

the way i read it - no - it is a local and not a boardie - just my interpretation - i certainly have no other knowledge then this thread..

No incriminating evidence = it never happened, lol! Just teasing! I don't see a problem with a trip report, but I am totally down with not naming names. That is a good decision on your part. Nothing and no one can blame you for anything.
