Great stuff..thanks!!!
Thanks everyone for the kind words.
The week between Christmas and New Years is always a slow one at my job, so I thought I'd make good use of my time and wrap-up this trip report. The sooner I get this done, the sooner I can get started on our October report.
Sunday
Today is the day we go to YS Falls. We had planned on taking one big excursion this trip and YS Falls was our choice. Talking to some of the locals, we were told that Sunday is a good day to visit the falls, since it is less crowded. So, we made arrangements with Chris, the in-house driver at HSH, for an afternoon excursion.
Not much else to say, except that we had an incredible time. If you've been to YS Falls then you know how much fun it is. The day we were there the water was "high and brown", which mean that the falls were a little rough, due to the heavy rains they were experiencing. Because of this, we received a discount on admission. Anyway, I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Once we were finished at YS Falls, I asked Chris if we could stop for some jerk pork on the way home. We stopped at a couple different places up in the hills and, apparently, jerk pork is hard to come by on Sundays. Some places, only had chicken that day and others were closed all together. We ended up stopping at The Jerk Hut, which is in King's plaza near the roundabout. I thought the pork was pretty good, while Mrs. D and Chris enjoyed their chicken.
So, keep in mind, if you're ever looking for jerk pork in a pinch - try The Jerk Hut.
Monday
I don't remember much about Monday. I'm pretty sure we just chilled around the hotel during the day.
For dinner, I know we went to LTU. The food was outstanding (I had the chicken Lola) and we washed it down with some killer rum punches.
(Excuse the blurriness. Mrs. D. insists on taking night shots without a flash.)

We always book a private transfer ... you pay a bit more but if you want to make a few stops for cold red stripe or food it is no problem. We stopped by HSH and it looked like a great place and the cliffs are super relaxing! Looks like you are enjoying your trip ... can't wait till Sunday when my feet hit the sand.
Love the LTU!
well done. lots of fun reading your report.
Nice report man! Love the classic "Mike D big pimpin with my drink" shot! Haha
Enjoy your trip, Saskgirl! Be sure to give us a report when you get back.
Jaherring, we love LTU, as well. Great food and just a great place to chill.
Thanks trvsmlls! glad you're enjoying it.
Hahaha! Thanks murph! As i recall, those rum punches were potent. I think I switched to rum and Ting after that, and it was all downhill from there.
Finally, we are at our last full day in Negril. This day was kind of strange, weather-wise. It was extremely windy and cool for April, yet the sky was clear and sunny. The temperature was in the 70's during the day but the sun was still strong, so even though it didn't feel hot, it was still easy to get burned. Another side effect of this weird weather was that the water became very rough. The locals were telling us that this was caused by a storm somewhere out in the Carribean. We decided to enjoy our last day chilling on the grounds of HSH. (Notice the rough waters)

Great report! Looking forward to the October one. Happy New Year & may you both be blessed with another trip or two this year!
Fantastic report. Good pics, good details.
Bring on the October report!
We know the real reason why the pix were blurry lol.. Fun read. Looking forward to your next trip report!!
Thanks NikkiV! Happy New Year to you! We had a blast hanging out with you in October and I am already gearing my pics to get that report started.
Thanks GerryG! I can only aspire to run the trail Of ashes the way you do. On our last trip I even shot some GerryG style video that I will post in my October report.
2Nutz, I am hoping to set aside a couple hours and do the October report in one sitting. That one will be more pictures, and less commentary.
Thanks Pretty40! It's no wonder the pics get blurrier as it gets later in the day. LOL.
I still have a few more pics to post to close out this report, and I plan to get that done today. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
Thanks for the report! We stayed a week at HSH in Apr. of 2003. Great property and some of the best snorkeling on that part of the cliffs. The wall out front had all kinds of Sea Life.
Alright, it's about time I closed this report out.
By our last day, Mrs. D. was pretty much addicted to jerk chicken, so our final dinner was at 3 Dives.

After that we just chilled at the hotel and got ready to leave the next morning.
As is often described, the ride to airport was bittersweet. We numbed the pain once we arrived at the airport by sharing our last piece of Jenny Cake.
Well, that's all folks. I hope everyone that read this report got some enjoyment out of it. It was a blast recounting our first trip to Negril. Now it's time to get to work on our October report. This next one will have more pictures and less dialog.
