Yes, great report M and SH! I really am enjoying this trip report. I can feel the excitement coming through the screen of my computer.... or maybe that's just low level radiation. Either way, it feels good :)
And thanks for the description of Momma Flo's. I have wanted to try it but have not yet... is it in the kind of open lot next to Merrills2?
Is this "Mama Flo"?

The tag team trip report, I like it!
Nothing better than finding a new old spot for dinner, or drinks!
Bleep bleep of tree frogs and gently falling rain mixed with the sounds of the traffic and the reggae playing next door backlit by a lightning show. A perfect evening in negril. But that is the present as I'm writing this. Back to yesterday's after dinner show...
We sat on our patio after dinner and were soon greeted by K Man. He brought cards! Before long he and SharkHunter had waged war. It was a blast! After he had a few lively and exciting wins I looked up the sign for king. For anyone that's interested, you hold a K and move it diagonally from your shoulder to your opposite hip like the sash of a royal. Fun sign. I call him that. It was King from then on. The card games continued for three hours. At one point he told us his sides were hurting from laughing so hard. Ours were, too. The best part was at the end of the night before we called it quits, before K Man retired as the King of Cards. SharkHunter and I live near several Native American casinos back home and SharkHunter did the mechanical design for one of them. Being the card shark SH is, he of course had a retired deck from them with him. He and K Man agreed to a trade - we are now the proud owners of K Man's well-loved deck with a Jamaican flag design and the K Man has a crisp deck of casino cards SH helped build. A perfect trade. An unbeatable souvenir. What a night that was, one we'll never forget. God bless K Man.
Good stuff.
I am LOVING your report. Your descriptions of the people you've met are absolutely heartwarming and genuine. Honestly, your report, although not filled with lascivious details, is perfect and lovely and exactly the vibe I hope to catch in less than two weeks when my feet hit the JA ground for the first time. :)
We are glad everyone is enjoying the post. Nicole.edith, you have most defiantly found the right website for first timers. We have been here many times and without the help from our new friends here on N.com, we wouldn't have found some of these great little hidden treasures of Negril. Ok, now to get the day started and I have to get M to get yesterday's news posted! LOL.
Flo Reynolds died some years ago. That is Joy her daughter. We've know her since she was 3 or so.
I didn't want to be too corrective in my post so I just put the picture up.
Flo's husband "papa cock" was Mas Hugh's best friend. We used to go play dominoes at the Fisherman's club. We were pretty good at the game and papa cock would set us up with games just mess with his friends on Friday nights.
That picture was taken on our first return 3 1/2 years ago

LOVE, LOVE,LOVE your report~~ Special report from Special folks~~
Great report and pictures!
Yesterday was another day in paradise. Started the day with an omelet and a few cups of coffee then off we went on a mission to find a watch battery. Knowing the adundance of watch dealers in Time Square, we headed there, it seeming the logical place. No luck but two of them recommend a watch and jewelry repairman across from Burger King. Sounds good. I've always enjoyed browsing at Time Square so we wander aimlessly and soak up some air conditioning. We grab some patties and head back to home away from home. A few Stripes and a patty lunch did us in. We were tired. Exciting right? Nap time it was, especially since it was raining at this point. Woke up as the skies cleared and went to visit Mama again. We didn't feel like walking far and sunset was approaching. Chicken on the menu tonight. And was it delicious! As we were eating, the power went out. Finished dinner by candlelight and headed home. Mama and SharkHunter's dance postponed. Back home and a visit with K Man, another fun night on the patio as we all waited for the current to be restored. Mosquitos finally started up. We hadn't really had a problem before but had the coils on standby already. Lit one up and enjoyed some relief. A while later we wrapped up the visit with K Man, told him good night, and then had ourselves a night cap. Cherry juice and coconut rum over ice. When writing it all down, it doesn't seem like much of a day but it was really quite perfect. Just what the doctor ordered.
And a pic from last night...more pics to come tomorrow.

Hi Sharkhunter, welcome to the board. So nice to see a duo TR. Really loved hearing story of you two :o
Ok ya'll keep Representing TX in Negril and I'm gonna follow along and live vicariously. THNK YOU!!!
Well said. I always bring a book or two, make it through a chapter or maybe just half of one. Then I lay the book open and face down across my chest and there it sits the rest of the day. This time I think Ive chosen the perfect book to bring along. A compilation of short stories, all about travel. A very interesting and enlightening read. Some stories are deep and meaningful, others humorous accounts of adventures gone wrong, all engaging and just short enough to complete before my eyes wander to the serene blue sky overhead or the hummingbird perched on the flower or the palm swaying in the breeze. SharkHunter has been subdued by Benadryl. Never had allergy problems here before but I think he's down for the count today. A great day for reading and gazing. Maybe a dip in the pool later. Venture out at sunset for a meal. I can't think of a better way to spend the day. I am perfectly happy. It doesn't get better than this. Attachment 30227
SharkHunter definitely knows his way around a camera but then again, it's hard to take a photo of anything around here and not have it turn out gorgeous. With the exception of the bug almost as big as my hand that has made his home in our bathroom the last two nights. Yikes! I hope he doesn't eat much. Lol the duo TR has been fun. Glad SH decided to chime in. When I think of duo reports I always think of Clarity. I feel my writing pales in comparison but if it's enough for everyone to get their daily fix, then so be it. And the thunder rolls...I love this time of year!
Breakfast views. The camera doesn't do justice...
