Sweetness! You're killing me....oh thank goodness I don't have long to wait.....JUST finished packing, plane leaves in exactly 11 hours...I can do this!
Yum!
And btw.....did you say 50th birthday? No way are you 50? are you serious? Wow...if that is true then I would say the Jamaican food (or Jamaican something else) is definitely doing your body good my dear! hee hee

These pictures are killing me too! This is like food porn! lol - I'm sitting here with Markus and we're both drooling over the keyboard. I'm like "I'm going to eat THAT and I want to that.. you order THAT so I can try a bite"
Thanks everyone for sharing these pictures!!:)
that burger looks massive and delicious PGW
... and I have to try the coconut shrimp and Orange Snappa!
But Sweetness - There's only ONE thing I'm not too sure about. What is that slimy purple wobbly-looking mass on your breakfast plate next to the Ackee & saltfish. You referred to it as "food"...I'm captivated and fearful at the same time...
Marley - 11 hours to go!! so exciting! The best part is you can sleep now, wake up and you're right on the plane flying to Jamaica!
(I can never sleep before a flight, I'm filled with too much anticipation. I'm tossing, turning and smiling so I can only imagine!!)
Have fun!!
and take lots of pictures! haha! Can't wait to hear about your trip when you return:D

lol Clarity - purple blob is delishious. When you ask for "food" it means local JA traditional sides. Gonna try to get them all but might need some help. On the plate w/Ackee & Saltfish is YAM (like potato; aka Irish), Dasheen (the purple I think) solid and also like potato; boiled dumpling; boiled green banana; fried plaintain; fried dumpling and my favorite CALALOO. Many times people eat savory hearty food for breakfast like curry chicken, fish, soups, etc. but that plate is very traditional and SUPER DELICIOUS (except the A/S which is not my cup of tea but thats just me).
[Thanks Marley - that birthday was two years ago.....lol. Young as you feel and "most" days still feel like a kid.
Bless

Haven't been to my favourite hotel in Negril since January 2010; but; Seastar Inn has fabulous food.
I'm talking outside of their great buffet.
Their cooked to order meals are nothing short of fantastic and they will go out of their way to accomodate their guests tastes.
The chicken is top notch; done on a rotisserie system similar to the "Swiss Chalet" style in Canada.
Google Swiss Chalet if you're interested.
The pan fried snapped is wonderful.
The soup is always nice.
Coco Bread Pizza is a marvel.
Room service available, no extra charge.
