I loved the vibe. So much to still see and do.
and what a great way to start off the holiday eh ???
Because I instantly feel at ease and as soon as your first breath of Jamaican air hits your lungs your blood pressure drops off the charts. The people are very welcoming and kind hearted and mean it. Absolutely love their food.
Because it's an "I'm home" moment the second the wheels on our 767 touch down at MBJ.
I go because it is absolutely beautiful! People are friendly and it makes you feel like you are home. The food is fresh and amazing. The air is clean. The sunshine feels great. The water is clear (not brown like here in Florida's Gulfcoast). It is so green there. You don't have to rush around in the rat race. Rum Cream! Sexy men and beautiful women. Cheap flights that take 90 minutes from Florida. Ganja. Fresh fish. The sound of the water smashing against the cliffs at night. The sounds of the birds in the morning. Reggae music. Mineral springs. Waterfalls. Natural way of life. I'm in love! I'm addicted!
Hey Georgia, We are off to Negril for two weeks and Treasure Beach for our third week!!! There are 8 of us on this flight.....yikes! Would love to see Hawaii though one day. For a born and bred prairie girl I sure do love the island vibes!
I hear so many people say that Hawaii is their favourite destination... but for me, it's definitely Jamaica. We were in Hawaii 28 years ago (!) so it's likely changed a bit. Our travel buddies wanted to go there as they've not been. Next year, it's back to Jamaica for my husband and me... can't be away too long!
Have fun, the 8 of you - sounds like a blast!
Would love to hear about Treasure Beach - we haven't stayed there and are thinking of adding it in for a week next year.
It's my home and the only place that calms me.
