Love traveling SOLO to Negril! Can't imagine enjoying it any other way. Last December, I decided to join my sister and two of her friends in Negril...let's just say I'm HAPPY to be going SOLO next month.

I am going solo in January. Excited & nervous because I have always traveled with others, but I have friends there so I won't really be alone.
My one solo trip to Negril was mad banana's fun! Kinda like being a kid again with no one to report too,lol...Unless you've done the couples or group thing as your usual vacation, you just don't know,lol...Kinda like if you never touch smooth, how can ya really understand the concept of rough etc...
Amen!!
Lol!
I've been there more times without my husband than with. In the beginning he was afraid to fly, so I went with friends. The he finally got his butt on that plane and has travelled with me a few times. He just doesn't feel the pull to go back like I do soooooo I go without him. I always stay at the same place & he knows I am safe.
When I am there, I sleep when I'm tired, eat when I'm hungry and socialize when I fell like it. I am thankful that I know so many people there and always have someone to hang out with. It is very liberating to travel so far alone - I love it.
The majority of my trips over the past thirty years have been solo. Not a bad one in the bunch. Always meet new people and see many old aquaintences. Solo, my favorite way to travel.
I've only been to Negril once. I went without my wife. Having sent her to Italy, Spain, and Orlando a couple of times I figured I was due. She said, "Get out of here, you need and deserve it, go have fun." So, I booked.Quote:
I'm just curious......of those of you who are traveling solo.......are any of you married?
After that she was apprehensive of my being alone. So, I asked one of my buddies to go, you know, to accompany the body if anything happened.
We had a blast, but honestly, I'd have been fine alone. You have to compromise so much with a friend, so you lose some free runnings.
I met so many cool people and I was suprised at the number that were travelling solo.
But, my friend left a couple of days ahead of me, and the solo part was very nice and relaxing.
When I got home and showed my wife all the Xtabi pics with cliffs, caves, and bats, she of the tribe that doesn't like swimming with the fishies, said "....glad you went."
She'd go with me to a beach resort in Negril, but the jury is still out if she'll come in April.
Love my wife. Married 36 years. Travel well together or separately.
