Re: Why I go....
Tanfastic, that was so beautifully said! I am also lucky to have also been married to my best friend, my soul mate, Steve (Mr Spottycatz) for nearly 30 years. Whenever we are fortunate to reach Negril shores our love for each other blossoms more every day. We have both just retired at Christmas and now nearly spend every minute of every day together! I am now happier and smile more than I ever have. We are blessed to have each other and Jamaica. Counting the days until April until we return once again.

Re: Why I go....
It's been 3 long years since we have been to Jamaica, but it would seem this coming December we will finally be back. We have travelled to Puerto Rico, Mexico and Costa Rica since our last Jamaican vacation and enjoyed them all, but Negril is our special place, where I proposed to my wife and where we went for our honeymoon. Our work schedules haven't allowed us to take more than a one week trip for the past few years and we both agree Negril requires 2 weeks minmum for us so as long as things go as hoped we will book our next trip in June, when my wife gets her final schedule for the upcoming school year.

My favorite picture from Jamaica, it was my third trip to Negril, first for my then girlfriend, now wife.

Re: Why I go....
Something very intimate happens to me when I'm in Negril. All the dots seem to connect for me, things I've been mulling over seem simple and crystal clear, I feel healthier more in touch with my own sense of myself. This started on my first trip 15 years ago and continued and developed now into a requirement for my soul. I met my husband there and have been blessed to have met some unique ,intense and dynamic people over the years. Spending time with them has allowed my to grow my perspective and I always now go thru life attempting to hold the handle and not the blade.

Re: Why I go....
My husband and I were 17 and 18 respectively when we married. We have three children and our last one left home 1 1/2 years ago. We had children in the house for over 40 years so our trips together were integral to maintaining our marriage. We have been to many places in the Caribbean. We love Mexico and go there quite a lot but Jamaica is so special. We go together someplace special each year because we need to have our time together with no one and nothing intruding. A time with no schedules, no responsibilities, no judgments, no demands on our time. Jamaica is so incredible. We love the cliffs and the beach. We love the people, the food, the colors, the smells, the incredible relaxation we achieve there. We will be back in July after a 2 1/2 year absence and we can't wait.
I love Jamaica because of the romance...
