After leaving Canoe it looks like we headed to Catcha to close it down and send off some Chinese lanterns as well. Anytime at Ivan's is a good time, with friends it's the best time.

Kaneisha was off that night but came buy to have fun with us as well as celebrate Vivian's bday. Love the staff at Catcha and they make a point to make sure you are having a grand time.

On thursday at canoe I was wearing a turqoise tank (easy to remember because I ordered the drink to match it), on Friday I was wearing my Ziggy shirt that says "love is my religion" which I wore to the boardie bash and also in most of those pictures he just posted LMAO!!!!!!!!

You always have a great crowd at Ivan's, and this last trip was no different. One thing is guaranteed and that is laughs, all sorts of laughter. I have thought that the noise heard from Ivan's would be a turn off to staying in Sagi. But that just doesn't make sense as I am NEVER in bed before Ivan's closes. Mute point.

Hanging out at Eddie's is always a great time. I could spend days here without leaving if he would just string up some hammocks. Eddie's yard has some space for you to stretch out when needed. And Trevor whips up some mean jerk chicken. If you like it hot hot hot, just tell him. If you like it mild, the same. Eddie is so relaxed that at times he just tells you to help yourself. The honor system is in full effect.

I discovered this myself later in our trip after everybody left the rock. Eddie left to get some ice, and I started self-bartending. You know how you get that "i shouldn't be here" feeling when you step behind someone's bar? I felt it for a split second...then it felt right. I also found my way into the kitchen and hung out with Trevor while he was cooking up a delicious bass. Not many places I can say that about.
I wish I could teleport myself into Eddie's yard right now:)

The steel drum band that plays at Canoe kicks ass. I wasn't sure how I would respond to it, but after the cool version of Happy B day that they played for Gonjon as well as the tunes they played for the rest of the day, I'm hooked and am looking forward to a return visit to Canoe to hear them again. Also for you Lion Fish lovers, they have it on the menu.......

I love the vendors who work their ass off and put out a great product for all of us fortunate travelers. A patty or two with some of that decadent cocoa bread hits the spot with a serving or three of Red Stripe. Fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit, patties, jerk pork, you name it and it's probably coming your way soon.

So one morning I'm sitting at Country Country with Jizzy eating some breakfast and something catches my eye. Not sure what it was, but it drew me in. I had to double take, hell triple take on this one. I was super hung over and struggling at this point, until I looked up and saw the dynamic duo. I pointed it out to Gonjon and out he spits "looks pretty good for a grandma." The dude finds the positive in EVERYTHING..... And that's why I love him.

The Pelican bar is a must do. I need to get here earlier and spend the entire day here. The sunset that we took in on the way back to Black River was unbelievable. I have been here twice and both times was a little too rushed. I would recommend taking the day trip to Pelican and only Pelican. They also have a hammock inside if you wish to doze off for awhile.

I perk up real quick after the red eye in. 3-4 hours sleep will come this day, but I really could care less. Adrenaline will carry us till deep into the night. First stop, BEERS. Second stop, Bigga's for some amazing Jerk. Just make sure you grab some beers for the ride in. I made the mistake last year of way too much granny sauce and not enough beer. I would say 3 beers to the half chicken. Also, ask what the soup of the day is.
