Re: It's raining Canadians!
As a wise former NHL er once told me when lamenting the state of his youth team " They are 12. They ALL suck" . He wasn't ripping them, but merely realistic that they are supposed to be learning and loving the game at that age.
Flip, are you a goalie or was Tretiak just the marquee name? Pretty cool to be around a guy like that no matter age or position.
Re: It's raining Canadians!
Nah. I played center. Tretiak was the name. He was nice as hell to the skaters. Hard on the goalies. LOL

Wow, this thread is so cool eh? Love Trailer Park Boys!

I love raining Canadians! The Franciscan Friars in Western Canada support our Get Kids to School Program, donating USD$15,000/year. Several Canadians are sponsoring a child in GKTS at about $700/year. One Canadian sends CAD$400/month in support of GKTS. A Canadian (Debbie Lightheart--my favorite biker babe in the whole world) oversees the school/church bus and more. And the list goes on.... A BIG UP from me to our Canadian friends. They are incredibly generous in assisting the poor here in Negril, especially the kids! --Fadder Jim
P.S. I lived next door to Canada most of life. I'm a Buckeye and we share a border with Canada!

Just my take on this. I say Canada or western Canada because saying Saskatchewan most often produces a "deer in the head lights" expression.

As long as our $ stays at par with the JA @ 1-100 we are happy. It's the US we won't be visiting as frequently. JAs accept Canadian $$, US and Euro on the beach. I put a $20 down and get $2,000 worth of drinks .. and that's enough for a round at the bar :-) When you buy a drink for a JA, the bartender is pretty happy.
