just talked to someone in Belmont on the Digicel network and the winds are gusting now and the rain has started......
they have no internet anymore and the lights are flickering now.........
forget about trying to text anyone on the Lime network as they aren't going thru......

Current is off...winds picking up again...intermittent rain still.

Current off or power surges in some parts of Negril...wind gusts getting huge...Digicel still working...trees are snapping!
I just talked to my son. He's on the beach in Negril. Not too bad so far.
The latest model looks pretty good for the West side of the island.
One more little jog to the East will put Kingston on the navigable side.

Anyone know if Digicel is working & if not in what areas? Last text I received from Kingston was about 9:50AM. Thanks in advance
Digicel is stil working in the Bluefields Bay area and Negril.......
I believe Digicel has generators thus no problem as yet......
Lime is a different story.......no Lime......at least for this guy
the wind is really gusting big time in Negril and Bluefields Bay right now.......rain not much of an issue

Yes...Digicel internet 4G & cell are still working. Digicel is one of the few things that stayed working through the last major storms.
